Special Feature On Garden Of New Home In Blackburn

Kingswood Homes taken an imaginative step in the creation of a garden layout for the ‘Dovecote 4+’ house type...

Kingswood Homes has reimagined the popular ‘Dovecote 4’ house type at its Green Hills development in Lancashire by adding a multilevel garden.

From the ground floor room of the ‘Dovecote 4+’, French doors open out onto a patio area; while up on the first floor bi-fold doors lead onto a bridge which leads to the upper level garden.

Sales director for Kingswood Homes Lesley Myers said: “At this time of year people are starting to think about using their outside space more and how their gardens can almost become an extension of their home, providing somewhere for the children to play, a spot for alfresco dining or if the great British weather permits sunbathing. While most townhouses have access to the outdoors from just one level we’ve designed the ‘Dovecote 4+’ to make the garden accessible at ground level and from the first floor. The really novel feature about it is that includes a bridge which sits above the ground floor patio and leads from the open-plan kitchen, dining and family room to the garden.”

‘Dovecote 4+’A four-bedroom, three-storey detached home with integral garage, the ‘Dovecote 4+’ is available from £319,995. Using Kingswood’s Shape Your Home concept, which allows buyers to configure a property to suit their lifestyle, there are three possible configurations for the ground floor – the standard option is with a bedroom or reception room and cloakroom. Buyers can opt to make the bedroom smaller and add an en suite and dressing room or they could select the “studio” layout and have an en suite and kitchenette on this level.

On the first floor, there’s a living room at the front, with combined kitchen, dining and family room at the rear including bi-fold doors onto the bridge and upper garden. A cloakroom completes the first floor.

There are two optional layouts for the second floor – one with three bedrooms, including en suite to the main bedroom, plus a family bathroom or with the “sleep luxe” option buyers could have two en suite bedrooms, one with a dressing area, on this level.

“We understand that those considering buying at ‘Dovecote 4+’ are likely to have a house to sell and we’re here to help cross the bridge between selling and buying with our Assisted Move scheme,” Lesley Myers added. “We’ll arrange for the customer’s home to be independently valued, arrange for it to be photographed and instruct one of our selected partners to market it an agreed price. In most cases customers sell in around six to eight weeks, leaving them free to buy a brand new home from us.”

The show home at Green Hills is open daily from 10.00am to 5.00pm. Find out more at www.kingswoodhomes.uk.com.
