Sisters Natasha and Francesca have moved into a brand new home together in Woolwich, having saved a deposit of £20,000 between them and purchased the property through the government-backed London Help to Buy scheme.

The pair have just moved into a top-floor, apartment at Lovell Homes’ Trinity Walk. The spacious apartment has two bedrooms, two bathroom and two balconies.

Francesca and Natasha are both in their mid-20s and fell in love with the development when they happened to be driving past.

Natasha recalled: “We were living in the area and looking to move out of mum and dads’ flat. We saw the Trinity Walk sales suite and decided to pop in. We pretty much decided to reserve there and then once we saw the beautiful show apartment. We knew exactly what we wanted and this was it. We didn’t have to look at another development — this ticked all the boxes. The whole process has been quick, and we couldn’t be happier in our own home.”

Francesca remarked: “Our apartment is very spacious including outside space which is amazing. We’ll be able to enjoy the outside lifestyle even more in the spring and summer but it’s still nice now to be able to step out of our apartment and look out onto the communal gardens.”

“We wanted to stay in the area, and Woolwich is widely considered to be up and coming so hopefully our apartment will appreciate in value,” added Natasha. “The riverside regeneration looks great and the level of new and ongoing investment in the area can only be a good thing. There’s so many cool coffee shops, bars and restaurants within a short walk.”

Transport links are important to both sisters and the proximity of Trinity Walk to Woolwich Arsenal station for DLR and, soon, the Elizabeth line was a big factor in their choice of home. “We can be on the train in 10 minutes and Crossrail will make it quicker to get into central London,” said Natasha. “It’s great for work and our social life.”

Lovell Homes sales manager Lea Hudson said: “We are delighted to hear that Francesca and Natasha have settled in well and are enjoying living at Trinity Walk. There’s never been a better time for first-time buyers to get onto the London housing ladder. We have sold over 90% of the apartments at Trinity Walk to first-time buyers.”

Trinity Walk is a collection of 445 one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments. Prices currently start from £352,000 for a one-bedroom apartment. London Help to Buy is available.
