New Home Ticks All The Boxes For Young Scarborough Family

Having recently celebrated a new addition to their young family, Scarborough couple Tom and Laura Metcalf were looking for a new home in the perfect location which offered flexibility and space.

The design, appearance and layout of their new family space not only needed to be appealing, but the home had to tick all the boxes when it came to meeting their lifestyle needs.

The search led Laura (31) a primary school teacher and 33-year-old sales manager Tom to Linden Homes’ (part of Vistry Group) Northfield Meadows development in Scarborough.

Already living in the town, they wanted to move to somewhere bigger with an outdoor space they could enjoy and grow with their two young children. Thorough research led to the family snapping up one of the ‘Bagby’ house types – a spacious three-bedroom home with flexible living space.

Laura said: “We loved the ‘Bagby’ house type because of how it looked at first appearance from the outside and we also loved the floor plan. Ideally, we wanted the living area at the back of the house, and we particularly liked having the living/dining area as one room opening into the back garden. We also love the upstairs space – the bedrooms are an amazing size, and the large open landing is such a lovely area. It facilitates our family perfectly, and we love everything about the layout.

She added: “The local area is very appealing and has lots to offer, with a primary school and preschool nearby as well as lots of parks and lovely walks. Our children are very happy here and we can be in open green spaces within a short walking distance.”

The couple say they have no hesitation in recommending Linden Homes to family and friends. Tom added: “Nothing is too much trouble and in our experience the site manager has gone above and beyond to make sure everything within the house is completed to a high standard. Any issues we have encountered have been dealt with quickly and we have been really satisfied with the level of after sales care.”
