Instagram-Inspired Move For Northamptonshire Family

The Ferrari family sought more space and found an ideal new home at Diamond Heights in Irthlingborough...

The Ferrari family have swapped their three-bedroom semi-detached property in Raunds for a three-bedroom detached home in Irthlingborough, securing them more space just four miles away.

Mark and Gilda Ferrari, along with their one-year-old son, moved into their dream house at Davidsons Homes’ Diamond Heights development in December.

The couple originally had no intention of moving, but that all changed when they came across Diamond Heights during its early stages of construction.

Mark said: “Gilda actually spotted the development when she was going for a pregnancy appointment at the outpatient clinic round the corner. It had only just started being built, so we set to doing some research online for more information.

“Our interest spiked immediately when we discovered the character and traditional style of Davidsons Homes’ properties, as well as the spacious floor plans. Even though we were content with our house in Raunds, we knew we could be even happier in one of these beautiful new properties.

“We also owe a big thanks to Instagram, as we looked at lots of Davidsons Homes’ customers’ accounts and loved the look of their houses – we wanted in on some of the action! They all spoke really highly of the quality of build too, so it was the housebuilder’s superb reputation which ultimately won us over.”

Mark and Gilda were quick to reserve their three-bedroom ‘The Ford’ house type early last year when the first properties were released for sale, and since moving in have enjoyed the spaciousness that their new detached home affords.

Mark said: “Although our last home holds a special place in our hearts – given that it was our first place together – we can’t deny that this house is 100 times better. It has everything we want, with an open-plan kitchen and dining area, separate utility room and spacious living room. We had a good experience with our previous new build, so we wanted the same hassle-free experience this time round too.”

Gilda added: “Having a utility room is lovely to have that extra bit of space away from the kitchen, which I didn’t get in our last home.”

The couple have also converted one of their three bedrooms into a study – perfect for home working.

Mark said: “Having the study means we can work side-by-side and take turns looking after our son, which has been really handy while he’s so young.”

The Ferraris are also enjoying Diamond Heights’ quaint town atmosphere, situated along the River Nene and under a 10-minute drive from Rushden Lakes Shopping Centre.

Mark commented: “We have always loved the area and are happier to be even closer to Rushden Lakes.”

Mark also highly praised the customer service he and Gilda received: “The customer care was second to none. Linda, the sales manager, and Jason, the site manager, were helpful throughout the process from start to finish.”

There is currently a selection of two- and three-bedroom homes available at Diamond Heights, off Attley Way, with prices starting from £229,995. Find out more at davidsonsgroup.co.uk.
