Aldershot Homebuilder’s Help To Buy Video For First-Time Buyers

David Wilson Homes has made a video explaining Help to Buy to purchasers at Bruneval Gardens in Aldershot...

To assist Hampshire first-time buyers in getting to grips with the new Help to Buy scheme, David Wilson Homes has released a video with a breakdown of the initiative.

With a range of one- and two-bedroom apartments available at its Bruneval Gardens development in Aldershot – all eligible for the government-backed scheme – the housebuilder’s video is designed to clarify the ins and outs of Help to Buy.

Narrated by Rob Allen, sales director at David Wilson Homes Southern, the video explains the process of the scheme in detail to enable first-time buyers to feel assured in purchasing their first home with a 5% deposit.

Rob said: “Buying a home is one of the greatest investments you’re likely to make and we wanted to make sure our customers are fully aware of the benefits of Help to Buy before making the important decision to buy a property. Not all of our customers are aware of Help to Buy or the process of applying for a mortgage, but this is where our sales advisers can step in to provide expert guidance on taking that first step on the property ladder.

“Our apartments at Bruneval Gardens are available to purchase with a 5% deposit and we’d encourage anyone looking to learn more about the scheme to book an appointment with us.”

When using Help to Buy, the government provides a loan of up to 20% of the value of the property, on top of the customer’s 5% deposit. The benefit of this is that the buyer only needs to arrange a mortgage of 75% and the purchasing process is made more affordable, with no payments to make on the loan for the first five years.

David Wilson Homes can also introduce prospective buyers to an independent mortgage adviser to ensure its customers are getting a mortgage deal to suit their own individual needs.

There is no ground rent to pay on the apartments at Bruneval Gardens, which is another added benefit for new homebuyers.

For anyone looking to learn more about the modern and flexible designs, a show apartment is open to view on an appointment-only basis at the development.
