Face-to-face: Video interview with Simon Halfhide of Redrow Homes 

The Whathouse.com team recently went on site to an iconic new homes development – the re-styling of the Grade II listed Blake Tower at the Barbican in central London into a collection of luxury apartments.

Simon Halfhide, Redrow’s sales director for this and other new homes developments in and around London, kindly took time from his busy day to speak to us from the marketing suite for Blake Tower, just a few metres from the foot of this landmark building in the City of London. He told us about the properties available here, the specification that buyers might expect and how Redrow has coped with changing economic and political circumstances since its launch. Blake Tower offers 74 one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments, with prices for the current selection ranging from £710,000 to £1.55m. These luxury homes are within walking distance of The City, Hoxton and Farringdon, the latter to be one of the central stations on the new Crossrail/Elizabeth Line from 2018.
