Weavers Quarter by L&Q – Show Home Room by Room

Helen ChristieWhatHouse? takes an exclusive look around L&Q’s Weavers Quarter, a collection of 221 Shared Ownership homes in Barking, to find out more about the design of the new show home from interior designers Hatch Interiors.
Reception: “Our aim in this room was to enhance the already bright & open living space. Complimenting dark grey upholstery with accents of white furniture has kept the room fresh & inviting, while the green geometric wallpapers adds a touch of warmth and playfulness. Contemporary geometric features continue throughout the kitchen and living areas in the crockery, lighting and accessories. By including the study desk and working space allows the room to be used for multiple activities.”
Dining area: “The kitchen and dining area is a modern, sophisticated dining environment designed to flow from the main living space. Continuing the pallet of emerald and charcoal, we decided to pair two green wallpapers to divide the ends of the room whilst keeping the continuity of colour throughout.”
Master bedroom: “We love the statement wallpaper adding a pop of vibrant colour to this room. Contrasting the vivid orange with bold monochrome patterns in the cushions and artworks has created an exciting and contemporary bedroom space. The use of white gloss furniture creates a bright and modern space, complimenting industrial accessories including the concrete framed mirror and sleek bedside lighting.”
Terrace: “Most of the homes at Weavers Quarter come with outdoor space, and L&Q wanted us to demonstrate how buyers could make the most of the outdoor areas. The generous terrace balcony offers a welcoming environment to relax and reflect. As a perfect addition to the master bedroom, this pleasant outdoor space compliments the contemporary interior through stylish, black rattan furniture.”
Second bedroom: “The simple coastal blue painted wall provides a sophisticated element in this youthful second bedroom. With the injection of sunshine yellow to compliment the blue, this room creates a calming atmosphere to unwind in. The abstract print cushions are suitable for all ages, making the room attractive to a wide demographic.”
Prices for a one-bedroom apartment start from £71,250 for a 30% share with a full market value of £237,500.
The show apartment will be open Thursday – Saturday 10am – 5pm. Viewings are by appointment only. Register your interest at weaversquarter.co.uk
