Top places to live in the UK

Halifax’s annual Quality of Life survey uses criteria such as health, life expectancy, employment, crime rates, income and weather to put together a list of the top 50 places in the UK to live. The South East as a whole scored extremely well, with seven South East locations making it into the coveted top 10.

For the fifth consecutive year, Hart, a beautiful, serene corner of Hampshire has been named as having the best quality of life in the UK.

We thought we’d have a look at the some of the new homes that can be found in five of the UK’s top 10 places to live.

Hart

Topping the board (again!) is Hart, which is centred on the town of Fleet. Boasting a high employment rate, an average weekly salary far above average and over 97 per cent of residents saying they are in good health, Hart is also home to plenty of open spaces and woodland, as well as Hampshire’s largest freshwater lake.

Rutland

Mole Hill, Surrey

Guildford, Surrey
