The Residence at Nine Elms by Bellway – Show Home Room by Room

Posted 15 May 2019 by Helen Christie

Luxury apartments are selling fast at The Residence at Nine Elms, and WhatHouse? has taken a look around the show apartment to find out why...

The show apartment is located at Bellway London’s exclusive collection of homes off Ponton Road, at The Residence.

The show apartment is a two-bedroom, two-bathroom home with a generous 864 square feet of space. There’s also an open-plan kitchen, living and dining area, and a balcony.

The Residence at Nine Elms (Bellway)Living/Dining Area: Impressive floor-to-ceiling dual-aspect windows are a focal point in the open-plan living/dining area, allowing light to flood into the space. The dark wood floor and window frames contrast nicely with the accents of white on the walls, as well as the large rug which punctuates the flow of the darker shade, adding interest to the scheme. Pops of mustard yellow in the chairs and cushions lend vibrancy to the otherwise monochrome space.

The Residence at Nine Elms (Bellway)Kitchen: At the other end of the open-plan room, an ice-white kitchen is a modern style statement. Spotlights inset under the wall units are ideal for assisting budding chefs, while the integrated doors give a sleek, sophisticated look. The combination of grey and white is ideal for a no-fuss, yet elegant space. Selected items on the countertop add a subtle nod of colour and are a reminder that the space is designed to be used as a functioning home.

The Residence at Nine Elms (Bellway)Master Bedroom: The master bedroom is a sizeable space, and again flooded with light entering the room from a floor-to-ceiling window, ensuring the result is elegant and relaxing. The pewter grey shade on the walls attracts light and is reflected in the bedspread, which adds soft tactility with a gently padded pattern.

The Residence at Nine Elms (Bellway)En-suite Bathroom: The door from the master bedroom leads through to the luxurious en-suite bathroom, which features pale brown tiles from floor to ceiling. The result is reminiscent of hotel chic, with huge mirrors making the most of the space and light. Bright yellow towels add shots of colour, and are a fantastic way to introduce colour to a bathroom scheme which can be changed at whim.

The Residence at Nine Elms (Bellway)Second Bedroom: The second bedroom is also a good-sized room and features a boysenberry bedspread and a picture of a seabird in flight – entirely appropriate for this apartment block close to the River Thames. The padded headboard and piles of cushions are welcoming, enhanced by the pale colour on the wall, ideal for creating a calming space.

The Residence at Nine Elms (Bellway)Shower Room: The walk-in shower room shows just how quickly and easily the look of a bathroom can be changed, just by using different towels. The tiles are the same as the ones used in the en suite, but the soft pastel pink and heather green towels give a completely different look to the bathroom than the bright yellow ones do in the en-suite. The hidden mirror lighting adds a subtle style to the room, bouncing light from ceiling to floor.

Prices for this style start from £848,000.
