WhatHouse? takes a tour of the elegant four-bedroom show home at Bellway's The Hall development in Edwalton...

An elegant show home is now open at Bellway’s The Hall development in Edwalton, Nottinghamshire, providing design inspiration for home-hunters across the area.

The Hall is an exclusive collection of just 40 three-, four- and five-bedroom houses. The design of the four-bedroom Swarkestone show home reflects the unique surroundings of these luxurious new homes. The property has been professionally decorated and furnished to appeal to a growing family with older children, taking inspiration from travel for its sophisticated interior scheme.

Geometric patterns and metallic accessories and light fittings, reminiscent of elegant Moroccan décor, provide continuity throughout the home, while organic natural forms and animal motifs add to the sense of exploration and adventure.

Sales director for Bellway East Midlands, Carolyne Watkinson, says: “We are thrilled with the inspirational interior of the Swarkestone showhome at The Hall and we’ve had an incredible response from everyone who has seen it. Our team of designers have worked so hard to create a unique look while also providing a warm and welcoming home and they’ve really surpassed our expectations.”

WhatHouse? has taken a closer look at the interior of the Swarkestone show home at The Hall…

The Hall (Bellway)Entrance hallway: An imposing entrance hallway makes an exceptional first impression on visitors to the Swarkestone. Stylish wood-effect flooring leads through two sets of contemporary wood-panelled double doors to the kitchen/family room and the living room.

The Hall (Bellway)Kitchen/family room: This light-filled room is the perfect place for relaxing weekend breakfasts, with its focal point a contemporary kitchen island with modern breakfast bar stools. The high-specification finish includes state-of-the-art integrated appliances such as AEG five-burner gas hob, double fan oven, warming drawer, microwave and coffee machine and Capel wine cooler, while the sleek modern look of the quartz worktops and Shaker-style cabinets is softened by a comfy sofa set against a feature wall with quirky palm tree and animal motifs.

The Hall (Bellway)Living room: Cream fabrics with accents of gold and silver create an opulent feel to the living room. A floor-to-ceiling metallic framed mirror set against a feature wall with a palm tree wallpaper design is the standout feature of the room, while two sizeable four-seater sofas – positioned either side of a geometric pattern rug – add to the sense of luxury and space. A selection of gold-coloured accessories complete the look.

The Hall (Bellway)Dining room: Marquetry style wallpaper provides a sophisticated backdrop to the dining room while continuing the geometric theme throughout the house. The organic forms of the eye-catching light fitting and mirror and the curves of the plush roll-top dining chairs and oval dining table offer a pleasing contrast, making this a comfortable and inviting place for formal mealtimes and entertaining.

The Hall (Bellway)Guest cloakroom: The smallest room in the house makes up for its size with an aquatic theme with a difference. Dramatic mermaid feature wallpaper in metallic bronze and deep blue is contrasted by all white half-height tiling and sleek contemporary sanitaryware, creating a fun style that is sure to be a talking point among guests.

The Hall (Bellway)Master bedroom: Warm and soft neutral tones make the master bedroom a haven of comfort and luxury, while rich textures and plush fabrics add to the inviting cosy feel. A striking dark geometric pattern provides definition on the window pelmets and cushions, while a striking starburst light fitting showers the room with golden light.
