The Studio That Thinks It’s A One-Bedroom Apartment

Posted 29 July 2021 by Keith Osborne

Novus Apartments in Slough offers a range of designs including 'Manhattan'-style studios priced from £210,000...

Set in the heart of Slough is Novus Apartments, a new collection of 64 studio suites, and one- and two-bedroom apartments. However, unlike a typical studio, the suites at Novus Apartments come with the added benefit of a separate living area and bedroom.

With prices from £210,000 and Help to Buy available across the development, these suites with a bedroom offer the ideal first-time buy for local purchasers, keen to step onto the property ladder here in Slough.

The homes boast a central location, situated within easy walking distance of the train station and the town centre. Novus Apartments forms part of the wider regeneration of the former library site, which has been transformed into a hub of residential, retail and leisure. Sat alongside the apartments is the UK’s first Moxy and Residence Inn double-decker hotel, which offers a new café bar and lounge, which is now open for all to enjoy.

Andy Howell, general manager for Slough Urban Renewal (SUR) said: “Our suites at Novus Apartments offer a superb space. Unlike your traditional studio, purchasers here get the added benefit of a kitchen/living areas PLUS a separate bedroom, which includes a fitted wardrobe. We’ve had some great feedback from purchasers about the space on offer here, and the finish.

“I would encourage anyone looking for a home in the town to book an appointment and come along and view our show apartments. With so much regeneration underway in Slough and with some impressive, award-winning new leisure facilities already in place, it’s an exciting time to be buying here.”

Novus Apartments is the latest collection of homes to be delivered by SUR – the strategic joint venture between Slough Borough Council and national urban regenerator, Muse Developments.

Help to Buy is available across the development, giving eligible first-time buyers a leg-up onto the property ladder, with just a 5% deposit needed and a 75% mortgage, thanks to a 20% equity loan from the UK government.

Every home at Novus Apartments has been built to a high specification, with Symphony kitchens and contemporary bathroom suites as standard. Amtico flooring is included in all living areas and fitted wardrobes are installed in all master bedrooms.

Prices at Novus Apartments start from £210,000. The sales suite is open from Thursday to Monday between 10.00am and 5.00pm. Find out more from Slough Urban Renewal.
