WhatHouse? Award-winner Sunningdale House Developments has a brand new collection of apartments for sale…

Sunningdale House Developments – a developer that won another WhatHouse? Award last week in the Best Apartment Scheme category – has unveiled another notable collection at The Residence TN1 in sought-after Royal Tunbridge Wells.

Set over five storeys, The Residence TN1 comprises 35 one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments located on Quarry Road, on the former site of the home of gourmet chocolatier Charbonnel et Walker. Under a mile from the town centre, its in a great location for access to all the shops and amenities the this spa town offers, with numerous independent stores and high-street names as well as a host of places to enjoy free time, with cafés, restaurants, pubs and cultural venues.

While Royal Tunbridge Wells is well known and admired for its heritage, The Residence TN1 is bringing a thoroughly up-to-date architecture to contrast with the historical buildings. This contemporary design symbolises the thoroughly up-to-date and impressive layouts and specification inside.

The kitchen comes with minimalist features and a range of top-brand appliances as standard, and bathrooms/en suites also come with some of the most-respected names in fixtures and fittings, including Roca and Porcelanosa. There’s a secure entrance and underground parking.

Prices for the current range of one-and two-bedroom units for sale at The Residence TN1 start at £315,000. ‘The Neville’ is a great example of a one-bedroom home. From £325,000, this property on the ground floor has a generous 601 sq ft of living space. The open-plan kitchen/dining/living room has two large window bringing in lots of natural light, and there’s also a door to the Juliet balcony. The double bedroom is served by a bathroom and there’s a useful storage cupboard of the hallway to help declutter the main living space.

For a larger budget, there’s the two-bedroom ‘Dunorlan’ on the first floor. It’s 853 sq ft of living space includes two en suite bedrooms and a separate WC off the hallway. There’s a dual-aspect kitchen/living/dining room which, like the bedrooms, has a door to the spacious private terraces. The price for this starts at £525,000.

Tunbridge Wells first became known as a fashionable spa town in the 17th century, when its natural water and clean country air became known to the well-to-do looking for a retreat from more crowded towns, somewhere their ailments could be cured in a peaceful setting.

These days, it is still one of Kent’s most treasured places to live and offers appeal to a host of house-hunters thanks to its high-quality shopping, amenities, culture, sport venues, well-performing schools and transport connections by road and rail. By road, Tonbridge and Sevenoaks are an easy drive away, and it’s just 12 miles to the junction of the M25 and M26. Rail services offer around an hour’s commute from the capital. Situated in the northern part of the High Weald AONB, the town is also on the doorstep of countryside and landscape that walkers, runners and cyclists will love.
