South Oxhey Central by Countryside - Show Home Room By Room

Located in the heart of South Oxhey, two miles from the centre of Watford, South Oxhey Central is a new community from Countryside. The development will provide residents with an impressive selection of amenities, as well as excellent connections in London Euston.

The first phase is a collection of one- and two-bedroom apartments on the site. Phase 1A has Shared Ownership units available (via partner Home Group) which are due to be completed by May 2018. The first homes available for private sale are set to be ready by September 2018.

The interiors of the show home were designed by Claude Hooper Interiors. Richard Ornelas at Claude Hooper walks us through the beautiful show home.

Lounge: “The focus for the show apartment at South Oxhey Central was to bring a high fashion look using a strong colour palette and giving each room its own quirk. In the lounge, we wanted to bring a modern look but with a luxurious feel. The vibrant colour way of teal, green and rust provides a contemporary element, while the velvet upholsteries to the sofa and dining chairs add warmth and luxury.”

Bedroom one: “Bedroom one follows on from the lounge with its angular Harlequin wallpaper, whilst also adding a drop of gold to the mix. The offset artwork brings the modern element while the wall to wall curtains and stunning mix of fabrics in the dressing of the bed add the upmarket appeal.”

Bedroom two: “Bedroom two we wanted to feel as important as bedroom one. The palette is largely the same as the rest of the apartment but without the teal and greens which gives the room a completely different feel. The room is a great space which holds the essential elements of a bedroom but we thought it would be good to push it a bit further and add a comfy reading chair to the layout to show another character of the room.”
