Helen ChristieSt James has launched a stunning show home at Campsbourne Well, Smithfield Square in Hornsey. Formerly a Victorian pump house, Campsbourne Well has now been transformed into six mews houses, each complete with high quality contemporary specification.
Campsbourne Well is the final phase of the completed Smithfield Square – a collection of contemporary one-, two- and three-bedroom houses, together with a Sainsbury’s store, residents gym, concierge service and underground parking. Situated in Hornsey, N8, the development falls within one of the largest regeneration areas in North London.
The two-bedroom show home, designed by interior designer Killer 5, is thoughtfully considered to maximise natural light and show off the double height ceilings. The colour palette uses taupe tones and different shades of green, with bespoke mirrors and feature wallpaper throughout giving the show home a stylish finish.
Each of the six homes will benefit from high quality contemporary specification including glazed brick tiling and integrated Smeg appliances. They will also offer a generously sized private garden or terrace as well as access to the development’s private gardens.
Rebecca Charles, design director at Killer 5, says: “The aim in Campsbourne Well was to create a unique interior that reflected the external period architecture of the Pump House as well as the more modern fittings of the interiors.”
Open plan living / dining room – The mixture of finishes range from natural wood, to brass and marble giving a chic, urban, industrial look. A pale grey canvas effect wallpaper was used as a backdrop for the emerald green velvet mid-century style sofa which contrasts against the bold black and white chevron rug. Leading on from the open planned living and dining area, the kitchen features modern, integrated Smeg appliances.
First bedroom – The design of the stunning mezzanine space was influenced by art deco opulence, with the focal point on the teal velvet chevron headboard. The inclusion of pale pink and brass creates a feminine feel, with the blue shagreen furniture adding an element of luxury. A circular wooden shutter was used to treat the original round window in order to highlight this architectural feature.
Second bedroom – Bedroom two has more of a masculine and industrial feel in contrast to bedroom one. The linen fabrics and wood furniture give a rawness against the velvet used elsewhere. The headboard comprises a mixture of wool and vintage leather.
Prices start from £525,000 for a one-bedroom house. For more information, or to register your interest, please visit the website at campsbournewell.co.uk or call 020 3002 9460.
