Show home room by room - The Tolkein at Montgomerie Gardens, Clitheroe

Posted 25 January 2017 by Ben Salisbury

Miller Homes has unveiled a stunning brand new three-bedroom show home at its Montgomerie Gardens development in Clitheroe in the Ribble Valley

Miller Homes have opened a new Tolkein show home at their popular Montgomerie Gardens development in Clitheroe in the Ribble Valley.

The beautifully designed three story show home has been designed by interior designers, Killer 5.

The new ‘Tolkein’ home consists of three bedrooms across three floors, providing a spacious home for house hunters looking for their dream home this year.

The Tolkien has been designed with country living in mind and is close to beautiful countryside but with the town centre only a 10 minute walk in the other direction. The scheme’s back drop is a warm taupe pallet punctuated with autumnal burnt oranges and forest greens to create a cosy environment for the chilly winter nights.

Kay Halls, sales manager for Miller Homes in the North West, comments: “This is an inspirational family home that will give house hunters a feel for the very latest trends and styles in interior design.  These features, along with its excellent location in Clitheroe and proximity to shops and amenities, means Montgomerie Gardens is one of our most popular developments in the region with only 15 homes remaining.”

The home opens to a hallway that leads to a spacious living room, which in turn leads to a kitchen/diner with French doors that open on to the garden for popular indoor-outdoor living.

The first storey offers two bedrooms alongside a family bathroom and ample storage for a family’s needs.

The second storey has an impressive master bedroom, with en-suite, covering the entire floor while two dorma windows offer far reaching views across the Ribble valley.  With its entrance vestibule and internal staircase ascending to a charming, dormer-windowed room with an en-suite shower, the master bedroom is a delightful finishing touch to a comfortable, practical family home.

Kitchen/diner - Zoe Clark from Killer 5, said: “The use of rustic furniture in a range of finishes, from worn woods to distressed leathers, gives a relaxed family feel, whilst the different tartans add depth and warmth to the room.”

“We choose the feature wallpaper in the guest bedroom to continue the countryside feel in a subtle way.  The textures of the cushions bring the room together and encourage that cosy ambience.  The pale orange glow of the lamps gives a nod to the burnt orange tones downstairs.”

“The rustic touches throughout the home are accentuated with the inclusion of a little boys room in bedroom three that is themed around aeroplanes with Spitfire wallpaper, artwork and accessories.  A few key pieces, such as the suitcase bedside table and historic spitfire toy, add interest and really bring the room together.”

“The master suite and guest bedroom bring a touch of feminine elegance to the scheme with crystal light fittings and luxurious bed linens, whilst also staying true to the scheme’s rustic charm.”

The show home is located on Miller Homes’ Montgomerie Gardens development, Woone Lane, on the southern edge of the ancient market town of Clitheroe, with miles of open farmland in one direction and the picturesque town centre just a ten-minute walk away in the other.

Montgomerie Gardens offers a selection of two, three and four bedroom homes in a quite exceptional location. In the heart of the Ribble Valley, adjacent to the vast Forest of Bowland, Clitheroe is the perfect place to reconnect with changing seasons and natural surroundings.

All homes are finished to a high specification including, heated towel rails, cube sanitary fittings, quality Porcelanosa tiling, as well as modern kitchens with contemporary appliances and mix and match interiors.

To help house hunters secure their dream home, Miller Homes is also offering a range of financial schemes to help buyers secure their dream home including Help to Buy or Home Exchange.
