Helen ChristieTaylor Wimpey Central London, has launched its first show apartment at Palace View, a landmark development of just 55 apartments and penthouses overlooking the medieval Lambeth Palace on the River Thames.
Palace View is positioned at the gateway to Albert Embankment, the capital’s last central riverside regeneration area, which is currently being transformed into a new Thames-side destination featuring a modern, open plaza of bars, restaurants and cafés in which to relax and spend time.
WhatHouse? has taken a closer look at the new show home, designed by Fiona Barratt Interiors...
Master bedroom: The bedrooms offer a more palatial environment, in keeping with Palace View’s location, playfully using texture to create contrast. Light linen sheer curtains are set against smooth satin hangings. A signature wall finish of cork and gold adds a striking feature, while bespoke headboards offer a personal touch.
Bathrooms: Interesting tiled features throughout Palace View play homage to the nearby former Royal Daulton Factory. In the bathrooms, dark monolithic and marble effect tiling is a stand out feature and creates a sophisticated space that is a fluid transition from the rest of the apartment.
Balcony: Each home has the added benefit of valuable outdoor space, with either a terrace or balcony, extending the interior space and providing a desirable inner-city sanctuary that can be enjoyed all year round. Other facilities available include a private cinema room, personal concierge service, secure underground car parking, a fullyequipped gym and a landscaped courtyard.
Living room: The interior design offers a bold approach. In the living and dining room, heavy accessories exemplify Fiona Barratt’s distinct style, including monolithic oversized armchairs in grey tones.
Dining room: These regal interiors and striking colours are contrasted with earthy undertones, referencing the green pastures of historical Lambeth
Buyers can choose from a selection of one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments with prices starting from £810,000. The first homes are due for completion in Q4 2017/Q1 2018.
