Martin Grant Homes has unveiled two show homes at Maple Fields, a new development in the market town of Alton, East Hampshire.

The three-bedroom Woodston show home and the four-bedroom Thornberry show home will offer interested buyers the chance to fully appreciate the enviable lifestyle offered by a home at Maple Fields. Designed by Andrew Henry Interiors, both show homes have been created to appeal to family buyers.

The interior scheme is inspired by the idyllic rural surroundings of East Hampshire, with a leaf and floral motif repeated throughout the living spaces of both. Feature wallpaper walls add warmth to the rooms, with pastels tones used throughout. Whilst both master bedrooms have been furnished with rich, luxury fabrics, to create an opulent design scheme, the additional bedrooms have been designed to appeal to children, with quirky accessory styling and motifs complemented by colourful wallpapers and fabrics.

Kitchen and dining area: Maple Fields is surrounded by beautiful countryside and we were keen for this to be reflected throughout the home. The kitchen and dining space captures this through the use of wooden, rustic furniture, as well as colourful floral-inspired motifs. We love the island in the centre of the room as it’s not only functional for cooking but also a great space to entertain and socialise.

Living room: The living room has a more sophisticated and formal feel to it, blending contemporary style with the functionality and comfort that all family rooms require. A light, neutral palette helps to emphasise the natural light that floods in from the large windows and there are dashes of pastel tones that offer a nod to the Regency period and Alton’s status as the former home of Jane Austen.

Master bedroom: The master bedroom is the most opulent room in the house. Luxury fabrics have been applied, whilst the woodland inspired wallpaper points to the idyllic landscape around the development. Brighter shades of orange and copper have been contrasted with deeper, moody shades of navy to create that sense of sophistication that every master bedroom requires.

Bedroom two: The second bedroom has similarly been designed for adults, ideally as a guest bedroom. The palette is tightly controlled with various shades of grey and cream, which achieves a soothing atmosphere. The accessories echo much of what can be seen in the kitchen and dining area.
