The three new show homes at Kilburn Quarter take their inspiration from textures, including Tom Dixon accessories, to appeal to different audiences...

A new collection of properties from Network Homes goes on sale at Kilburn Quarter, London, NW6. It is the second phase of the development, featuring three fantastic new show homes to present a collection of one, two, three and four bedroom apartments and duplexes.

The properties themselves are designed by the award-winning Lifschutz Davidson Sandilands and Alison Brooks Architects, Kilburn Quarter, which comprises 126 private sale homes in total, is contemporary in appearance yet sympathetic to the red brick mansion blocks of nearby Maida Vale and the Victorian terraces of St John's Wood.

The development is set around a beautifully landscaped, gated courtyard garden which will incorporate a children’s play area – providing the perfect secure environment for play and relaxation.

Each home at Kilburn Quarter features a balcony or terrace, while there is also cycle storage and underground parking to selected apartments. Internally, careful design ensures an abundance of natural light throughout, complemented by an outstanding specification including sleek fitted kitchens with Neff integrated appliances, underfloor heating throughout, feature down-lighting and luxurious bathrooms with ceramic tiling and Hansgroh fittings.

Sustainability is ingrained at Kilburn Quarter, with the homes built to Code for Sustainable Homes Level 3, with additional features and initiatives including a car club and electric car charging points. Buyers will also take comfort in the 10 year BLP New Homes Warranty.

Inside, the show homes are designed by New i.d interiors and feature different styles aimed at different audiences, from young professionals to families.

Network Homes’ brief was to create a stylish home that specifically included Tom Dixon accessories – resulting in an inspiring and aspirational environment for prospective buyers.

Amrit Lattimore, senior designer at New i.d interiors, comments: “The three-bed apartment is aimed at a family purchaser – with a more classical look, compared to the one- and two-bedroom apartments which are more urban in appearance. I have put an emphasis on the use of textures such as velvet and French linen, brass and accessories from renowned British designer Tom Dixon.

“The entire flat is linked by a ‘bird’ theme, expressed in the living area with hummingbird feature wallpaper to create a focal point, complemented by hanging sculptures and rich fabrics which create an elegant, luxurious appearance. The bird theme can be seen in the hallway, with decorative wallpaper adorned with small brass birds."

“The kitchen, which features sleek Neff integrated appliances, uses contrasting whites and greys against the rich dark cabinetry, accented with brass details. The use of earthy materials was important here, hence the choice of cut stone-effect wallpaper and marble plates."

“The master bedroom features a statement grey bed, while the light colour palette and textures enhance the space and create a calming sanctuary. The retro style trunk and inbuilt wardrobe are both functional and attractive, with the mirror finishes emphasising the size of the room. In the second bedroom, statement beaded grey and brass effect wallpaper creates a subtle yet warm glow, with brass side tables and agate table lamps adding more depth to the room."

“The third bedroom is currently laid out as a multifunctional room, reflecting the requirements of today’s families who might want a separate space for studying or just unwinding in peace. The ladder shelving is hot at the moment, while the chaise is ideal for those wanting to get lost in a good book.”
