On Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 August, Redrow is hosting its Readymade Weekend event at a number of its developments across England and Wales.

The event will provide house-hunters who are looking to move into their dream home within a convenient timescale the opportunity to view first-hand some of the Readymade properties available to buy through Redrow, which currently holds the title of WhatHouse? Housebuilder of the Year..

There are currently 53 developments across England and Wales with Readymade homes available, and many of them are hosting events across the weekend.

According to data from home moving experts View My Chain, it takes on average six months to find and complete on a new home. With many buyers looking to move home to reduce their commute to a new job, or ensure they fall within their children’s preferred school catchment area, Redrow’s Readymade properties help to make it much easier for aspiring new build homeowners to complete and move in a time that suits them. Each Readymade property is ready to move into and benefit from enhanced interior specification and quality finishes from Redrow’s interior design experts. For instance, many of the homes benefit from extras such as fitted flooring throughout at no additional cost, meaning buyers could save thousands on the purchase of their new home.

For those looking to purchase in the South East, there are currently 28 finished homes that are ready for eager buyers to move into. A selection of three-, four- and five-bedroom homes are available from Redrow’s award-winning Heritage Collection, which takes inspiration from the 1930s Arts & Crafts movement. There are also two- and three-bedroom houses from Redrow’s Regent Collection at the housebuilder’s Ebbsfleet Green development in Kent, with two bespoke two-bedroom apartments available at Temple Wharf in Strood.

Redrow’s North West division has approximately 16 Readymade homes available to purchase from Redrow’s Heritage Collection. A selection of three- and four-bedroom homes are also ready to move into at Redrow’s flagship community, Woodford Garden Village, as well as Abbeyfields and Earl's Park, which each have two Readymade properties available.

Claire Jarvis, group sales director at Redrow, commented: “Purchasing a property is an important milestone for any buyer but the process of finding the perfect home to moving in can be incredibly time consuming, especially if you’re in a chain. We understand that first-time buyers and growing families in particular are keen for their home-buying experience to fit to their timescales and are in line with other important milestones, such as moving to the catchment area of your child’s new school or to be closer to a new job. Our Readymade homes are therefore ideal for those house-hunters who are looking for some flexibility on when they can move in. Also, as many of our Readymade homes come with extras included such as fitted flooring, buyers could be saving thousands of pounds as well as their precious time.”

The Readymade Weekend will be taking place between 10.00am and 4.00pm on Saturday and Sunday. For plot-specific detail on any extras, buyers are encouraged to speak to their development sales consultants.
