Quebec Quarter by L&Q - Show Home Room by Room

Posted 29 November 2017 by Helen Christie

WhatHouse? takes an exclusive look around L&Q's Quebec Quarter to find out more about the interior design...

Quebec Quarter show home represents a contemporary and opulent living space for young people.

The aim was to reflect a warm and cosy atmosphere, combining this together with a luxurious and contemporary style: "As the development has been designed to blend seamlessly with its neighbouring environment, we have tried to reflect this within the show home, using natural materials and rich colours."

Living room: The contrasting tones within this room are combined with bright accents of burnt orange to create a warm and welcoming feel. We opted for a dark metallic textured wallpaper that complements the black furniture finishes, and the fur throw is offset against the cream fabric sofa.

Offering fantastic views and allowing in allow in an abundance of natural light, the full height windows in the apartment are softened by subtle voiles and rich contrasting curtain fabric.

Dining and kitchen area: The kitchen and dining area is a refreshing and uplifting space. We dressed the kitchen area with contemporary shelving that included rustic champagne glasses, cocktail books and various herbs. Aiming to keep to the raw, natural colour theme, we added a forest green kettle and matching toaster, which also complements the burnt orange. The wenge oak dining table is a feature against the white gloss kitchen, creating a beautiful balance of tones.

Master bedroom: We love the statement wallpaper within this room – it’s a dominant feature that really stands out. One of our talented in-house upholsters built the bespoke silver headboard to our exact design, and it contrasts elegantly against the wallpaper. The dark wenge oak furniture combined together with the velvet cushions and footstool add a touch of warmth and sophistication to the space.

Second bedroom: By injecting an elegant Ochre and silver colour pallete, the room has a truly contemporary feel, with just a touch of opulence. The metallic bold geometric wallpaper is an exciting feature and complements the Ochre velvet throw and cushions, while the statement bedside lamps really draw the colours together, creating a sense of depth to the room.

Bathroom: Our concept of reflecting a contemporary and opulent living space is carried through into the bathrooms, with a combination of luxury shower products and elegantly placed towels. We love the effect these accessories made to the bathroom - they really add a sense of sophistication with a dash of colour.

Terrace: This modern terrace offers owners a place of sanctuary in the heart of the city, providing the opportunity to relax and unwind. The contemporary style bench and planters make the terrace look modern and inviting, and the simple muted colours won’t distract from admiring the views around it.
