Brooklands An Ideal Choice Of Location In Milton Keynes

Posted 22 June 2021 by Keith Osborne

The community of Brooklands in the east of Milton Keynes brings residents the 'best of both worlds' thanks to Places for People...

Milton Keynes continues to be a very popular choice for house-hunters and the trend of moving further out from the capital to somewhere providing more space and property value-for-money has kept demand strong. Location is key of course, and Brooklands is a growing part of the town which offers residents a ‘best of both worlds’ place to live.

Brooklands is taking shape on the eastern edge of Milton Keynes and there’s more to it than just new build homes. There are acres of outdoor space and parks on the doorstep, including Brooklands Park and the wetlands and wood of much-loved Broughton Linear Park. Open countryside is also just minutes away.

Developer Places for People is playing a big part in delivering a wide range of new properties in Broughton Square to suit all sorts of buyers, from those taking a first step on the property ladder to growing families and downsizers. This is helping to create a diverse and active community with a host of activities, events and support groups to let everyone living there feel right at home.

Places for People won a prestigious WhatHouse? Award in 2020 in the Public Realm category for its work in creating a place that is well served with things such as shops and amenities, places to eat and open spaces such as Lautier Park and a public square.

High-quality schooling is a must for families and the area is well-served with schools for all ages rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted, such as Brooklands Farm Primary School, Broughton Fields Primary School, Walton High and Oakgrove School, and by private education in places such as Broughton Manor Preparatory School and The Webber Independent School.

Even with more people working from home these days – a factor which is influencing house-hunters’ priorities in searching for a home to accommodate this – road and rail connections are still very important for many, whether for work or pleasure. Brooklands Square is only a few minutes from Junction 14 of the M1 and a 15-minutes’ drive from Milton Keynes Central station, with its frequent exceptional service to and from London Euston, Birmingham, Manchester and Edinburgh.

Brooklands Square is providing an array of apartments and executive family homes with between two and five bedrooms, suiting many requirements and budgets. To accommodate the increasing desire for personal outdoor space, Places for People has designed them with private balconies or terraces on the apartments and spacious rear gardens in the larger homes.

‘Eagle’‘Eagle’ house type

There are just two townhouses remaining for sale at Places for People’s The Square and its Home of the Month is Plot D12, a four-bedroom semi-detached home called the ‘Eagle’, which provides 1,485 sq ft of living space. On the ground floor, this family home has a spacious kitchen/dining room that runs the length of the property, together with a utility room, WC and storage cupboards in the hall.

The first floor features the living room, with large windows bringing in an abundance of natural light, and a large master bedroom encompassing an en suite bathroom and fitted wardrobes. The second floor hosts the remaining three bedrooms, two of which are spacious doubles and one a single, which would make an ideal home office. There’s a private and secure rear garden, and parking is available as well. This home is currently priced at £434,950.
