Phoenix by Fairview New Homes - Show Home Room by Room
A show apartment with an interior which pays homage to London’s iconic waterways has been unveiled at a new development beside the Limehouse Cut. Phoenix is a development of 103 apartments in Broomfield Street.
The development is a five-minute walk away from Langdon Park DLR station, which is four stops from Canary Wharf (a six-minute journey). The development is also less than a mile from Bromley-by-Bow Underground station.
Jeremy Gee, main board director for Fairview, says: “With its location beside the capital’s most historic canal, our show apartment at Phoenix has been designed to celebrate the important role which the waterways have played in the development of this great city. Our first residents have just started moving into their homes at Phoenix, which fronts onto the Limehouse Cut on one side and towards the greenery of Bartlett Park on another.
The new show apartment is located within Dryad House. Fairview is currently selling apartments in Dryad House and Centaur House, which both overlook the water.
Kitchen/living/dining area: Subtle blue accents have been used within the furnishings and in the kitchen accessories, while the frames, mirror and lighting add monochrome highlights. The collection of black-framed historic photographs of London’s rivers and canals line one wall of the room, while the living area is positioned towards the terrace, facing out to the waters of the Limehouse Cut.
Master bedroom: Waves of natural light flood through the large window into the master bedroom, which looks out onto the Limehouse Cut and includes an en-suite bathroom. London’s waterways and the landmarks beside them are celebrated again in the framed print hung above the bed, which is complemented with the low-hanging light fixture.
Second bedroom: The second bedroom faces out onto the development’s central gardens. The deep oak furniture evokes the wooden fishing boats which used to travel along the Thames to deliver their catch, while the burnt orange shade of the pillows provides a pop of colour which contrasts with the blue and grey tones of the walls and ceiling.
Bathroom: The Jack-and-Jill bathroom is accessible from the hallway and the second bedroom and is a neutral, peaceful space. Green plants bring the outdoors in and introduce a touch of nature to the design scheme.
A selection of one- and two-bedroom apartments are currently available at Phoenix, priced from £379,000.
