Three-storey living is a popular option for many homebuyers these days, offering lots of floor space for a relatively small ‘footprint’, which provides great value for money and flexibility.

For a larger budget, from £234,950, ‘The Whinfell’ has a kitchen/diner at the front and a living room to the rear, three bedrooms and a bathroom on the first floor and a generous en suite main bedroom on the top floor. For a seaside location, ‘The Whinfell’ is also available in Hartlepool at Marine Point, from £204,995.
Rainton Gardens is a development in Chilton Moor, Houghton le Spring where three- and four-bedroom houses are available for a spectrum of budgets, currently from £125,950 to £289,950, including ‘The Windermere’ from £125,950 thanks to a discount from market value initiative. Another option is ‘The Earlswood Corner’ from £254,950. This corner-plot home is a great option for growing families: downstairs are a lounge, a WC and an open-plan kitchen/dining room with utility room and French doors to the garden; on the first floor are a family bathroom and three bedrooms (on of which has en suite shower room), and en suite bedroom one is an oasis on the second floor. In the same area, a development called Herrington Grange offers ‘The Windermere’ from £184,950.
‘The Carleton’ at The Maples

The Maples is a development just north of Newcastle upon Tyne which has contemporary-styled two-bedroom apartments, and three- and four-bedroom houses, priced from £146,950 to £308,950. ‘The Carleton’ is one of the house types available right now, with a starting price of £205,950. This terraced house has lounge, cloakroom, kitchen/diner and understairs storage on the ground floor, two bedrooms and bathroom on the first floor and another double bedroom on the top floor.
Brunton Meadows in Gosforth, under four miles from the city centre, will be bringing three-, four- and five-bedroom homes to the area, with the current availability running from £206,950 to £284,950. Northumberland
Woodhorn Meadows is in Ashington, a few miles east of Morpeth, inland from Newbiggin-by-the-Sea. Between Morpeth and Newcastle, in Cramlington, The Fairways has three- and four-bedroom semi-detached and detached homes for sale between £187,950 to £289,950. Among them is ‘The Sutton’, from £187,950, with a lounge at the front, a kitchen/dining room with French doors to the garden at the rear, a bathroom and two bedrooms on the first floor, and the main bedroom on the top floor.
Hauxley Grange is in Amble, by the coast close to Alnmouth and Alnwick. It’s attracting a variety of house-hunters thanks to its range of three-, four- and five-bedroom house types with a current budget range of £156,950 to £394,950. ‘The Sutton’ is one of the three-storey homes for sale here too, but an alternative, from just £156,950, is ‘The Moseley’ which has an open-plan ground floor with French doors to the rear garden, two bedrooms and a bathroom on the first floor, and the main bedroom across the whole of the second floor.
