Top Choice Of Housebuilder’s Four-Bedroom Homes In Yorkshire

Persimmon Homes and its ‘sister’ brand Charles Church are between them building hundreds of brand new homes in Yorkshire, and amongst them are some excellent four-bedroom types, of which we’ve picked our current favourites.

In Knaresborough, Persimmon is working on a wide array of house types at Orchard Gardens which will suite a range of budgets and requirements, from comfortable starter homes to sizeable executive homes. Residents are only a few minutes’ walk from the centre of this attractive market town and it’s easy to get to nearby Harrogate by road and rail. Leeds and York are both around a 45-minute drive away. Our favourite four-bedroom home here is ‘The Escrick’. Priced from £410,000, this is an attractive double-fronted design which has an integral single garage. There’s a light-filled dual-aspect living room with bay window and a kitchen/dining room with French doors to the garden. Two of the four bedrooms come with an en suite, the others sharing the bathroom. Bedroom four would make a great home office. For a smaller budget (from £350,000), ‘The Leicester’ is a semi-detached, three-storey house type with kitchen/dining room, living room, three bedrooms and bathroom on the first floor and en suite master bedroom on the top floor.

’The Roseberry’ house type

‘The Leicester’ is also available at Warren Park in Bessacarr, on the outskirts of Doncaster. The nearby M18 provides a link to the M1 and the area is well connected to a number of towns and cities. Prices for the current collection of three- and four-bedroom homes here range from £189,995 to £339,995. Among them is ’The Roseberry’, which starts at £289,995. On the ground floor is the integral garage, a living room and, at the rear, a kitchen/dining room with utility room and French doors to the garden. Bedroom one has en sute and built-in storage cupboard, three bedrooms share the bathroom.

There are homes with two-, three- or four-bedrooms at Castle View in Netherton, just south of Huddersfield and only 12 minutes by car to the town centre. It’s little more than 10 minutes to the edge of the Peak District for those that love scenic countryside. ‘The Brampton’ is an attractive detached house type currently priced from £359,950. The heart of this property is the open-plan kitchen/dining/family room which comes with feature island worktop/breakfast bar, Off this room is the utility room, and at the front of the house are the lounge and a study. The bathroom and bedrooms are upstairs, with en suite to bedroom one.

‘The Knightsbridge’ house type

Right now, Charles Church offers three-, four- and five-bedroom homes at Parklands in Hessle, priced currently from £270,000. This popular town, just 20 minutes from Hull, has plenty of its own shops and amenities, places to eat and drink, and places to enjoy yourself. The railway station is within walking distance of the homes here. ‘The Knightsbridge’, from £335,000, is a great option for a family here. The kitchen/breakfast room is across the fullwidth of the home at the rear, with French doors to the garden. There’s a separate dining room, and a living room looking out of the front of the building. Bedroom one has an en suite shower room and bedroom four could equally serve as an office.

Buyers can consider ‘The Knightsbridge’ at Silverwood in Garforth too, where it is priced from £404,950. This development of four- and five-bedroom executive homes is just six miles east of Leeds city centre. Buyers with a larger budget could consider ‘The Marylebone’, an attractive double-fronted detached house. There’s a living room and separate dining room at the front of the house, while the kitchen/family room at the back has two sets of doors to the garden, and a handy utility room with its own door to the outside. As well as the four bedrooms (one with en suite), there’s a family bathroom and another room that could be a study or nursery.
