Three new properties released at Bishop Auckland site

Mandale Homes has announced the release of three new properties at its Bedford Sidings development in Bishop Auckland, the popular market town in County Durham in England’s North East.

The three new homes are in a three-property terrace block, with each of plots 15,16 and 17 offering a three-bedroom home with two bathrooms and off-street parking. Prices start at £119,950, with Help to Buy also available to assist buyers by offering a 5% deposit opportunity and a 20% loan that is repayable only when the property is sold. The housebuilder also offers Part Exchange and Assisted Move options.

In all, Bedford Sidings is providing 53 new homes, a mix of two-, three- and four-bedroom properties in the north of the town and within easy reach of its shops and amenities. The town’s station is just minutes’ walk from this development, with the A1(M) only 12 minutes’ drive away for those who need to travel further. The North Pennines and Yorkshire Dales are both within easy reach for spectacular scenery.


Shared Ownership homes launched in Wokingham

So Resi WokinghamA mix of homes is now available at So Resi Wokingham, a new collection of Shared Ownership homes that are part of the larger Matthews Green Farm development in the Berkshire town.

This part of the development offers a mix of apartments and houses that will have broad appeal to first-time homebuyers on a modest budget: one-bedroom apartments start from just £98,000 for a 40% share (based on a full market value £245,000), with four-bedroom houses priced from £201,250 for a 35% share (based on the full market value £575,000). Every homes comes with an allocated parking space.

Linden Homes opens new show home in North Yorkshire

Housebuilder Linden Homes has marked the official launch of its Oak Park development in the village of Tockwith, North Yorkshire, with the unveiling of a show home.

This development will be bringing 75 new homes to the village, which will range from one- and two-bedroom properties aimed at first-time buyers or young professionals, to three-, four- and five-bedroom family homes. Prices currently start at £294,950, with options of Part Exchange and Help to Buy available.

The show home is a four-bedroom detached ‘Pembroke’ house type, which comes with double detached garage. On the ground floor, there is a study/home office, a large lounge, a dining room and an impressive kitchen which comes with a separate utility room. New apartments come to Sunbury-on-Thames

IDM Properties has launched a brand new development in Sunbury-on-Thames, Surrey, with a range of apartments that the company sees appealing strongly to young professionals.

Work starts on the UK’s largest regeneration project

With targets 25,500 new homes and facilities to create around 65,000 jobs, the regeneration of Old Oak in west London is the biggest such project in the UK right now and commencement of work on it has now been officially marked with a special event involving some of the major figures involved.

James Murray, deputy mayor of London and Liz Peace CBE, chairman of the Old Oak and Park Royal Development Corporation (OPDC), along with Tony Fernandes of Queen’s Park Rangers FC and Dipesh J. Shah OBE of Genesis Housing Association, were among the prominent attendees of the launch, with work starting on the site to bring the first new residents to the area in 2020, on a development called The Oaklands.

Murray says: “I am delighted that work has commenced on this important scheme and pleased that we have been able to work so closely with QPR and Genesis Housing Association to increase the proportion of affordable homes."

Peace adds: “I am delighted to kick-start the wider regeneration of Old Oak and Park Royal in line with Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan’s priorities. This first major scheme granted consent by OPDC and the Mayor paves the way to creating a place where people will want to live, work, spend their leisure time and bring up their families.”


New show home opening for Barratt in Midlothian

Open Day this weekend at luxury Mill Hill development

Mill Hill is one of north London’s most sought-after residential areas and this Saturday 7 October, developer Bellis Homes is inviting house-hunters at the high end of the market to look at its recently launched Eleven Trees development of three large family homes.

Two of the homes come with five bedrooms and one with six. All include gyms, dressing rooms and swimming pool and spa areas and standard. The interiors have been finished to the highest specification by multi-award-winning Alexander James Interior Design. The price of these homes starts at £4.5m.
