September is a very busy time for the new homes industry, which is terrific news for house-hunters looking for a brand new home before Christmas, as there are a host of launches, events and special offers coming right up, as you’ll see here…

 

NORTH WEST

Elan Homes opens Staffordshire show home this weekend - This Saturday 1 September, regional housebuilder Elan Homes opens the show home at its first development in Staffordshire, at its St Thomas Priory development located in Blackheath Lane, Baswich. It is one of just 11 homes there, with six three- and four-bedroom styles to choose from, ranging in size from 1,052 sq ft to 1,818 sq ft and set in a private courtyard. The show home is the ‘Fulford’ house type, with four bedrooms, a study and utility room. Prices will be revealed on launch. Baswick is just east of Stafford, between the town and the Cannock Chase Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, but also well connected to major roads such as the A34 and M6. YORKSHIRE/NORTH EAST

Luxury barn-style homes available in Bishop Monkton - The ‘Gracemere’ home at Harvest View is just one of a number of new, high-end barn-style homes that Kebbell Homes is offering in Bishop Monkton, North Yorkshire. There are three-, four- and five-bedroom house types in a classic stone farmhouse- and barn-style designs, bringing a traditional rural look to high-specification new build properties. EAST MIDLANDS

Buyers can register for next phase at Kimberley site - Fairgrove Homes is inviting house-hunters in the East Midlands to register their interest in the next phase of homes that will be released soon on its popular Hansons View and the Brewery Yard developments in Kimberley, just a few miles north-west of the centre of Nottingham. The transformation of the former brewery site is bringing homes with two to five bedrooms, some of which are conversions of historic buildings, some brand new. A £100 deposit secures a ‘first refusal’ for potential buyers of the upcoming collection. These new homes are well connected to the city, the M1 and the A610, putting the rest of the East Midlands within easy reach. Two new show homes open at Chesterfield development - There are two show houses to view at Skylarks, a newly launched development in Chesterfield, Derbyshire from leading regional housebuilder William Davis Homes. Visitors to the site can take a tour of two four-bedroom homes, the ‘Severn’ and the ‘Lydden’, both fully decorated and furnished. There’s a marketing suite open too, and a dedicated options centre where buyers can choose from the range of fixtures and fittings to personalise their home. SOUTH EAST

New show home unveiled in Berkshire - Spitfire Bespoke Homes has launched a new ‘Townsend’ show home at its Jardin development in Binfield, Berkshire, which neighbours the housebuilder’s Pope’s Meadow site. The new scheme is located within a private estate in the original kitchen garden of Grade II-listed Binfield House, a Grade II listed Georgian manor house near Bracknell Forest. This development is well located for rail and road connections, as well as being close to great schools for all ages. There are two-, three-, four- and five-bedroom homes for buyers. Prices for the two-bedroom cottages/bungalows - available to over-60s only - start at £445,000. Launch of new homes on the Isle of Wight - The first properties have been put on the market by Barratt Homes in Shide, just south of the town of Newport in the heart of the Isle of Wight. St George’s Gate was originally set for release this December, but buyers can now pick the home they want from a collection of two- and three-bedroom houses, and two-bedroom luxury. The sales office at this development is open from Thursday to Monday, between 10.00am and 5.30pm. The site is surrounded by fields and country walks, with local schools and shops close by. New apartments launched in Langley - Barratt Homes has released new apartments at Oakley Court in Langley, Berkshire, which is the latest part of its popular Marlborough Grove development. It’s a new range of one- and two-bedroom properties to give buyers further choice, with only one-bedroom unit left at the previous Maple Court phase. These properties are available to reserve now, with prices starting from £285,000. First-time buyers and downsizers are expected to take particular interest in these homes. The development is only two miles from Slough, where commuters already have a frequent services to London which will be enhanced when Crossrail launches in 2019. EAST ANGLIA

Early buyer interest welcomed at South Ockendon development - The development’s marketing suite isn’t due to launch until October, but St Modwen Homes is encouraging house-hunters looking to secure the home they want by registering early for the new Bennett’s Fields development in South Ockendon, Essex. The site will bring 230 new homes, a mix of one- and two-bedroom apartments alongside two-, three-, four- and five-bedroom homes, along with a new public park. Prices will be released nearer the launch. Located off Arisdale Avenue, Bennett’s Fields is close to a number of shops, bars and restaurants in the village, several primary and secondary schools, and only a 15-minute drive from Lakeside Shopping Centre and its neighbouring retail park. Harlow site launch raises money for charity - Kier Living Eastern has just unveiled its Ram Gorse Park development in Harlow, Essex, and raised £750 for The British Heart Foundation at the recent launch event. Buyers have a choice of two-bedroom apartments and two-, three- and four-bedroom houses across this development, which is within walking distance of Harlow Town railway station. Currently, prices for a three-bedroom home here start at £409,995, with incentives such as Help to Buy available. Ram Gorse Park is located on Harlow Rugby Club’s former ground. Shared Ownership homes to launch in Ealing - Notting Hill Genesis is bringing a new collection of homes to Ealing, London W5, which will be available to buy under the government-backed Shared Ownership scheme. Shakespeare Road, will provide 22 one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments. Prices for a one-bedroom apartment start from £140,000 for a 40% share (based on a full market value of £350,000). These new homes are just a three-minute walk from Hanwell station, which offers trains into London Paddington in 30 minutes and Heathrow Airport in 20 minutes. From next year, Crossrail will also serve this station for a fast service into and through central London. Erith welcomes new Shared Ownership properties - Major developer L&Q has brought 27 new Shared Ownership homes to The Quarry, its development in Erith in the London Borough of Bexley. This second phase of part-buy/part-rent properties gives potential purchasers the choice of 16 two-bedroom maisonettes and 11 three-bedroom houses, with prices starting from £167,500 for a 50% share (full market value £335,000). The Quarry will bring around 600 homes and a brand new primary school to the area, a regeneration of a long-neglected former quarry site. New build homes for first-time buyers in Bromley - Hambridge Homes is welcoming first-time buyers to Woodhams Apartments, its development in Bromley where prices are currently starting at £299,000. Some 75% of the scheme has already been sold but there are still one- and two-bedroom units available, all under the Help to Buy London scheme and all featuring double-aspect layouts and a private balcony. Bromley South station has frequent trains to and from central London, with fast trains taking around 15 minutes. New Edinburgh development opens this weekend - Saturday 1 September sees the launch of Manor Wood, a brand new development of 28 properties from Cruden Homes in Edinburgh.
