Posted 26 July 2018 by Helen Christie

We take you through some of the latest launches, buyer events and special offers for new homes across the country...

It’s another very busy week for potential buyers in the new homes sector, with housebuilders across the country launching new developments, hosting events and introducing some special offers.

Commuters capitalising on Shared Ownership in Chelmsford

City Park West (Notting Hill Genesis)Research has revealed that Essex is one of the best London commuter hotspots, based on average house prices and the cost of an annual train ticket. Notting Hill Genesis’ City Park West is located in England’s newest city, Chelmsford, Essex. Buyers can take full advantage of the growing value gap between London and the surrounding counties, with a collection of Shared Ownership apartments. Notting Hill Genesis is offering a summer special reservation fee of just £99 for any Shared Ownership reservation made between Saturday 28 July and Sunday 5 August.

The final phase of City Park West comprises a selection of 300 one- and two-bedroom apartments, across a range of tenures including Shared Ownership and Market Rent.

Sarah Butler, commercial director of Notting Hill Genesis, comments: “The Shared Ownership scheme is an invaluable product for young buyers trying to take their first steps towards owning their own home. Our impressive homes at City Park West are a fantastic option for first time buyers who work in London and feel priced out of owning a home there.”

Prices for a one-bedroom Shared Ownership apartment at City Park West start from £59,375 based on a 25% share of the full market value of £237,500. For further information or to register your interest please call 01245 806484 or visit cityparkwest.co.uk

City living at One Park Drive

One Park Drive, Canary Wharf Group’s landmark residential development, has successfully sold out of its largest available apartments. The three-bedroom Loft apartments, which offer open plan living spaces and wraparound terraces, have been snapped up by purchasers looking for spacious city homes.

Brian De’ath, director of residential sales at Canary Wharf Group, says: “To have sold all of the three-bedroom Lofts is a huge achievement for the One Park Drive team. With the majority of new build schemes, the smaller units are the first to go, yet at One Park Drive, the opposite is true. The demand for the larger apartments is testament to the unparalleled architecture and interior design, as well as the extensive facilities, dedicated open spaces and diverse events programme of the wider Canary Wharf estate.”

“We have now sold over 60% of apartments at One Park Drive and the larger units have formed a significant proportion of that. The new Wood Wharf neighbourhood will be a place where individuals and families can live, work, relax and play and it is great to see buyers invest in that community.”

The development will also offer state of the art amenities designed by GA Design, split over the ground and first floors. Residents will benefit from a sophisticated entrance lobby with 24-hour concierge services; library, cinema room and lounge on the ground floor, whilst the first floor houses an exclusive residents-only health club, which includes a 20-metre pool, gym, studio space and spa.

Apartments at One Park Drive start at £685,000. For more information, visit canarywharf.com/residential

Help to Buy event taking place this weekend in Bexhill

Rosewood Park, a new development by David Wilson Homes, is situated in Little Common, just outside of Bexhill-on-Sea. The housebuilder is hosting a Help to Buy event this weekend to offer advice to homebuyers looking to take advantage of the Bexhill-on-Sea property market, while also using the government-backed equity loan scheme that only requires a 5% deposit.

We are looking forward to our Help to Buy event this weekend and hope that anyone interested to find out more will take the opportunity to do so.”
