New Shared Ownership homes coming to east London this weekend

Peabody – one of the best-known names for affordable housing in the capital – is bringing a collection of 48 new Shared Ownership flats to E3 this weekend at its Merchants Walk development.

This scheme, just minutes from Devons Road DLR station, is well connected to Docklands and The City, and property hunters are welcome to visit the development on Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 July to check out the selection of one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments on offer. The minimum share to buy is 35%, and prices start at £126,000 for a one-bedroom property, based on an open market value of £360,000.

Taylor Wimpey builds more new homes in Bishopton

Dargavel VillageWith one development complete and another already well under way, Taylor Wimpey has announced a new collection of homes at Dargavel Village in Bishopton, Renfrewshire, with 11 styles of home for house-hunters in West Scotland.

The new part of the scheme will provide 176 further homes with a mix of three- and four-bedroom detached and semi-detached layouts, perfect for first-time buyers, families and downsizers alike. These new properties are being marketed from the existing site sales information centre on Slateford Road, with prices ranging from £186,000 to £286,000.

The new homes are on an elevated position overlooking the coast and within easy reach of central Glasgow, with services from Bishopton station within easy reach on foot and by bike. A new junction for the M8 is also part of the Dargavel Village masterplan, along with other features such as a primary school, library, community centre and park on the doorstep of the new properties.

Open Day at Heyford Park, Oxfordshire on Saturday 8 July

Dorchester Living is inviting homebuyers to an Open Day at its Heyford Park development in Upper Heyford, Oxfordshire on Saturday 8 July, from 10.00am to 5.00pm, to provide them with a chance to see show homes and view homes at the site, some of which have not been open to the public before.

Greater Manchester buyers invited to register interest by Linden Homes

Grace GardensHomebuyers interested in a new home in an up-and-coming part of Greater Manchester are being invited to register their interest in a new phase of homes at Grace Gardens in Gorton by Linden  Homes, following the successful sell-out of the first phase at the development.

Special offer from L&Q on new homes in Haggerston

Haggerston is one of London’s hippest hotspots for house-hunters and now developer L&Q is now offering buyers at its development there, The Overdraught, a free  annual membership to Haggerston’s Laburnum Boat Club, where they can learn or improve skills in canoeing, kayaking and other water sports.

The canalside development, on the site of an old Irish pub of the same name, comprises eight apartments and a four-bedroom townhouse located on the opposite side of the Regent’s Canal to the boat club, and each having either a balcony or terrace to enjoy the views. Prices will start at £565,000 for a one-bedroom apartment and £695,000 for the two-bedroom apartments, with the duplex, triplex and townhouse without a price yet and to be launched later in the summer.

New show house comes to The Grange in Potters Bar

The GrangeOsprey Homes, the Stevenage-based housebuilder, is launching a brand new show home at its Potters Bar development The Grange on Saturday 8 July as it officially unveils the Hertfordshire scheme to homebuyers.

Two luxury new homes introduced at Alderley Park

PH Homes has unveiled two more sectors new houses at one of Cheshire’s most prestigious new estates, Alderley Park, within Cheshire’s ‘Golden Triangle’, home to some of the North West’s best known sports stars and wealthy individuals.

The Ride consists of 14 properties, inspired by the architecture of local villages, with several of them arranged around a new ‘green’, adjacent to the estate’s original cricket pitch and walled garden. It will include one refurbished and extended Victorian four-bedroom house, once home to the head gardener for the Stanley family

The Serpentine is the largest section of the development, with 33 properties in total, with the ones nearest the entrance grouped in a village style and those nearer the lake that gives this site its name set back in their grounds. Buyers can choose from a selection of four- to six-bedroom villas, which the housebuilder calls some of the “most lavish homes in the area”.

Prices for homes at The Ride start from £525,000, with those at The Serpentine starting at £775,000.
