First off-plan reservations at Hay-on-Wye site

Acorn Property Group has seen the first purchasers reserve off-plan at Bookers Edge, the company’s new development in Hay-on-Wye, Herefordshire, with four properties now snapped up.

Located on a site in Newport street, a short distance from local shops, the development comprises just 25 new homes, with a mix of two-, three- and four-bedroom house types. Buyers can expect stylish fitted kitchens and bathroom, bespoke glazing, bi-folding doors and apex ceilings. Each home comes with allocated parking. With the first homes expected to be ready to move into this summer, prices start from £440,000 and the Help to Buy scheme is available.

“We are really excited to be building in such a stunning location,” says James Groombridge, regional managing director for Acorn. “Hay-on-Wye is renowned for its beautiful heritage and the Bookers Edge development has been carefully designed to complement the character of the town, whilst providing the highest specification in modern living. The collection includes a selection of terraced and semi-detached homes that fit with the surrounding Victorian properties, as well as detached barn style homes that reflect contemporary rural living.”

“The properties are designed to maximise this idyllic location and benefit from breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside and the Black Mountains, as well as being situated close to the River Wye, with all the amenities of Hay-on-Wye only moments from the front door. Set in such an outstanding location, interest in these new houses has been superb and we are delighted that we have already reserved four properties off-plan ahead of the launch of our show home in the spring.”
