New homes launched in Birstwith – North Yorkshire house-hunters can now consider one of a range of homes at a development just launched in Birstwith, near Harrogate. Newby has just unveiled West House Gardens, a collection of three-, four- and five-bedroom, high-specification houses, each with gardens and private parking. Prices currently start at £350,000. Assisted Move introduced in Keighley – Spicerhaart Part Exchange & Assisted Move is now working with Skipton Properties to provide its specialist services at the housebuilder’s The Bridge development in Haworth, near Keighley in West Yorkshire. It’s providing a variety of two-, three- and four-bedroom stone-built homes, and now buyers with a home to sell can utilise an initiative to have help in selling it as they purchase their new one. Buyer initiative launched in Lincolnshire and Hull – Beal Homes has introduced its Launch Pad initiative at its Fruit Market development in Hull city centre. The scheme offers buyers £5,000 towards their deposit, or to spend on extras and upgrades on their new home, as well as up to £1,000 towards legal fees. The offer can be used on its own, or alongside the government-backed Help to Buy scheme. Find out more at


First homes unveiled at Leicestershire development – Avant Homes has released the very first homes at Sheltone Village, its development in Earl Shilton, Leicestershire. It is offering a range of two-, three- and four-bedroom properties in 13 designs, with prices ranging from £185,000 for a two-bedroom terraced home to £395,000 for a four-bedroom detached family home. First home at Northamptonshire modular village completed – Etopia has completed, decorated and furnished the first home at Etopia Corby, which is bringing a range of modular homes to the town. The three-bedroom townhouse show home is one of 47 units – 31 houses and 16 apartments – which produce their own energy, resulting in little or no bills. A typical three-bedroom house here will go on the market for between £295,000 and £350,000. Find out more at

Launch of new homes in Derbyshire – Dragonfly Homes has unveiled Meadow View in South Normanton, delivering 10 three-bedroom homes in a contemporary style to the Derbyshire village. Two plots were reserved off-plan before last weekend’s launch. Prices start at £179,950, with Help to Buy and Part Exchange options for purchasers. Find out more at


Five-bedroom show house launched at Marden site – Kent house-hunters can now take a tour of a brand new show home at Countryside’s Russet Grove development in Marden. ‘The Nightingale’ is a five-bedroom house, one of a collection of 75 two-, three-, four- and five-bedroom homes which started construction earlier this year and are set for completion in 2021. Armed Forces Discount launched at two developments – CALA Homes has introduced a special Armed Forces Discount for military servicemen and women who are looking to buy a new home. At CALA at Wellesley development in Aldershot, there are one- and two-bedroom apartments, and three-, four- and five-bedroom family homes. There’s also a range of two- to five-bedroom properties at CALA at Mindenhurst in Deepcut. Under the discount, serving or retired member of the Regular or Reserve UK Armed Forces or those who have passed Phase 1 of training, could be entitled to a discount of 1.5% on the purchase price of a new CALA home. If they choose to use one of the housebuilder’s recommended solicitors, they can also receive £1,000 towards your purchase legal fees. This can be used in conjunction with Help to Buy. Show home to open in Canterbury – This Saturday 7 September, between 10.00am and 4.00pm, Pentland Homes opens a new show home at The Observatory, its development in Canterbury where just four units remain for sale, priced from £385,000. Nine house types have been used at the site, each high-specification with open-plan layouts, garages with additional parking. Canterbury West Station which is only a short walk or cycle ride away. New homes coming to Milton Keynes – This month, L&Q launches Saxon Reach in Milton Keynes. This is a collection of three- and four-bedroom houses, part of a development of 225 homes available through private sale and Shared Ownership. In all, there will be properties ranging from two- and three-bedroom apartments to three-, four- and five-bedroom houses. The homes come with integrated kitchen appliances, master bedrooms fitted with mirrored sliding wardrobes (the majority with en suite shower room), a private balcony or garden and at least two parking spaces. Help to Buy workshop in Redhill this weekend – For house-hunters who want to learn more about the popular government-backed scheme, Crest Nicholson Regeneration is hosting a Help to Buy Workshop on Saturday 7 September, from 10.00am to 5.00pm, at The Picturehouse in Redhill, Surrey. The team can go through how the equity loan scheme works in detail, and demonstrate how that can assist in the purchase of a home at the development, a collection of 133 one- and two-bedroom apartments around a new landscaped public square, due for completion in 2020. Shared Ownership event in Hampshire this weekend – Radian Homes, in partnership with agents Savills, is launching its first affordable homes show, Your Shared Ownership Event, this Saturday 7 September, from 10.00am to 4.00pm at the Solent Conference Centre in Southampton. The event is free to enter, and showcases Shared Ownership homes for sale from Radian, how the scheme works, as well as legal and financial advice. Find out more at 

New show home in Bishops Stortford – Bovis Homes has just opened a new show home at its Stortford Fields development in Bishops Stortford, Hertfordshire. ‘The Spruce’ is a house type from the company’s Phoenix range of styles, with open-plan kitchen/dining room, separate sitting room and three bedrooms, with an en suite and dressing room to the master bedroom. Incentive weekend across East Anglia this weekend – Taylor Wimpey is hosting a special incentive weekend event at 11 of its developments across East Anglia on Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 September.  Sales staff will be there to discuss a range of offers and incentives, such as Stamp Duty paid, mortgage help or a £5,000 cash discount, as well as its Easymover and Part Exchange schemes. Help to Buy event in Peckham this weekend – On Friday 6, Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 September, Notting Hill Genesis is hosting a Help to Buy event at Peckham Place. It’s a chance for house-hunters to find out more about the government-backed London Help to Buy scheme, and the kind of properties available with it at this development. There’s a choice of one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments with open-plan layouts, many of which also have a private balcony or terrace. Private sale prices start from £440,000 for a one-bedroom apartment and £555,000 for a two-bedroom apartment. Find out more at

Launch of new Shared Ownership homes off Caledonian Road – Peabody is launching Market Gardens on Caledonian Road, Islington. There’s a choice of one- and two-bedroom apartments, each one with private outdoor space in the form of generous balconies and modern winter gardens. There are also landscaped communal podium gardens for residents only. Shared Ownership prices start at £122,500 and £163,750 respectively for a 25% share of a one- and two-bedroom apartment (full market prices of £490,000 and £655,000 respectively). Find out more at

Share Ownership apartments launched in east London – Notting Hill Genesis has just unveiled Echo @ London City Island, E14, with 15 apartments available through Shared Ownership, each with a private balcony. Residents can attend City Island Arts Club, which has private amenities including a bespoke clubhouse complete with concierge, games room and grocer’s shop. Residents are automatically members and also gain access to the on-site high-spec gym, spa and treatment rooms, outside swimming pool and gardens. New two-bedroom apartments launched in Nine Elms – EcoWorld Ballymore has released a new collection of two-bedroom apartments at Embassy Gardens in Nine Elms, priced from £789,000. ‘Back to School’ event at Whetstone development this weekend – Taylor Wimpey North Thames is inviting local residents to its ‘Back to School’ event at Oakleigh Grove in Whetstone on Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 September to give potential local buyers of the selection of homes on offer.  One- and two-bedroom apartments start from £399,995; three-bedroom homes are priced from £670,000. Launch of new homes in Southall this weekend – Mackenzie Homes launches RUB1X on the High Street in Southall on Saturday 7 September. It comprises one- and two-bedroom apartments which will be launching off-plan from a brand new show home and sales suite. Completion is scheduled for early 2020. Shared Ownership homes available in Thamesmead – Peabody is offering a range of Shared Ownership homes at The Reach in Thamesmead. 52 out of the 66 homes there are one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments which can be purchased through the part-buy/part-rent scheme. Available to buy now, prices starting at £68,750 for a 25% share of a one-bedroom apartment (full market value £275,000) and at £81,250 for a 25% share of a two-bedroom apartment (full market value £325,000). New show home launched in Solihull – Woodlands Park, a Crest Nicholson development in Solihull, has a brand new show home. The development consists of 94 homes, including one- and two-bedroom apartments, and three- and four-bedroom houses. Launch of new Shared Ownership show home in Tettenhall this weekend – Saturday 7 September, between 10.00am and 4.00pm, sees the official launch of a new show home at the School Road development in Tettenhall, Wolverhampton. Homebuyers will also be able to have a look around two of the properties on the 17-home development from housing association whg. They can buy a share of between 25% and 75% of the full asking price and pay rent on the remaining share. There are seven duplex apartments, four two-bedroom townhouses. and six four-bedroom homes. Viewing at Montrose development starts this Saturday – At a joint venture between luxury developer FM Group and Pert Bruce Construction, a sales office is opening at Sunnyside Estate on Friday 6 September and interested house-hunters are invited to arrange a site visit by appointment only on Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 September. New show homes at Warrington sites – Barratt has new show homes at a couple of its developments around Warrington, Cheshire. At Kings Quarter development, located on Parkstone Drive in Stretton, visitors can now explore the ‘Alnmouth’ and the ‘Hale’, both four-bedroom houses. At Saviours Place off Stretton Road, the new show homes include the five-bedroom ‘Lamberton’ and the four-bedroom ‘Alderney’. Open house event in Exmouth this weekend – On Saturday 7 September, Taylor Wimpey is hosting an open house event at Plumb Park in Exmouth, a chance to take a first-hand look at the ‘Wareham’ house type with a large open-plan kitchen and dining room, living room and study to the ground floor, family bathroom and four double bedrooms (two of them en suite).  The sales team will be there to explain Help to Buy, Part Exchange and Easymover purchase initiatives – and there’s a £20,000 discount exclusive to this event.
