As our latest report shows, house-hunters across Britain looking for every type of new home will find a host of launches, events and special offers at developments from national and regional housebuilders...  

  

SOUTH EAST  

Two new phases of homes coming to Folkestone development – Over the next few weeks, Taylor Wimpey is releasing two more phases at its popular Shorncliffe Heights development in Folkestone, Kent. Saturday 16 February sees the unveiling of Somerset Place, which will be bringing a collection of two-bedroom apartments and two-, three- and four-bedroom houses priced from £214,995. Then on Saturday 16 March, Valley View is launched, providing a further choice of three- and four-bedroom houses starting at £290,000. Help to Buy event and incentives in Hersham this Saturday – Bewley Homes hosts a Help to Buy event at its Jubilee Meadows development on Hersham Road in Surrey this Saturday 23 February. Visitors to the site that day can speak to staff about the government’s equity loan scheme and talk to an independent financial advisor about mortgages. Two-bedroom apartments and houses of three and four bedrooms are currently for sales there, with prices starting at £375,000. There is also an incentive package offered at this development during February where buyers are given up to £10,000, subject to the stage of construction, to spend on either Stamp Duty, fitted carpets or turf to the rear garden, where applicable. Last chance to buy at Dartford scheme – The ‘Padstow’ on Plot 324 at Barratt Homes’ Phoenix Quarter development in Dartford, Kent is the last chance to buy at the development. Launch of new homes near Canterbury – Redrow is unveiling a brand new development in Hersden, near Canterbury, this Saturday 23 February. Oakdene at The Hoplands is five miles east of the historic Kent city and its shops, amenities and leisure venues. The scheme will be bringing 126 homes and a new village green. Nearby Sturry station connection to Canterbury West, which is served by High Speed. Three- and four-bedroom homes from the housebuilder’s Heritage Collection will be released initially, priced from £329,995, with five-bedroom homes also becoming available at a later date. Incentives event in Hook – This weekend, Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 February, Taylor Wimpey is holding an event at its Pembroke Manor development in Hook, Hampshire, where house-hunters can find out more about the range of incentives it offers to buyers of the remaining six apartments there. Help to Buy, Easymover and Part Exchange are options, and there’s a special incentive for this event as anyone reserving gets free carpets and appliances in the apartment of their choice, and the first year of the mortgage for free. Prices from £249,950 to £275,000 with a £99 reservation fee. Open Day at luxury bungalow developments – Specialist developer RoyaleLife is opening the doors at sites across Hampshire and Kent on Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 February (between 10.00am and 4.00pm) for potential buyers to take a close look at the properties for sale there. Those attending will get a guided tour of the site and its show houses. There’s a home exchange scheme that provides a move without stamp duty, agent fees or solicitors fees. All four – Wickham Court in North Boarhunt, Solent Grange in Milford-on-Sea, Oakwood Court near Bordon (all in Hampshire) and Reculver Court in Herne Bay, Kent – are gated developments with two- and three-bedroom detached bungalows. Help to Buy to launch at Rickmansworth development – On Saturday 23 February, St William, part of the award-winning Berkeley Group, is launching Help to Buy at Elmswater, its development in Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire. This is a collection of 48 two- and three-bedroom apartments in the heart of the town, adjacent to Elms Lake and close to shops and under a mile form Rickmansworth station. EAST ANGLIA 

Over one-third sold off-plan at Peterborough development – Weston Homes has seen 35% of the homes at its Fletton Quays scheme in Peterborough already purchased off-plan, with many snapped up by local buyers. Part of the city’s South Bank redevelopment, this site will comprise 358 one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments set over four buildings, of which two are already being fitted out. The properties all come with a highly regarded specification, which includes oak doors, a choice of wood flooring and carpets, and Virgin Media television and telephone points. These new homes are a 15-minute walk from Peterborough’s city centre and well-connected station and a ten-minute drive from the A1(M). Prices start at £159,995. Last chance to buy through Shared Ownership at Ealing development – Catalyst has just four homes at its Trafalgar Apartments in Ealing available via Shared Ownership. Help to Buy day at Hendon development – L&Q is hosting a Help to Buy day at The Rushgroves in Hendon, north-west London, from 10.00am to 4.00pm on Saturday 23 February. Guests will be able to view the show home on site and speak to an independent financial advisor to discuss mortgage eligibility. The development comprises 387 homes, a mixture of one- and two-bedroom apartments set amongst attractive landscaping, which are available with Help to Buy London. Two new show apartments in Elephant & Castle – Lendlease has unveiled two new show apartments at West Grove in Elephant Park, its major regeneration scheme providing 3,000 new homes with shops, parks and open spaces in the heart of Elephant & Castle. The duplex apartment has a large open-plan kitchen and dining area, three spacious bedrooms and a private terrace with interior design by BoxNine7. Rebecca Sudic Interiors has designed the new two-bedroom show apartment. Final Shared Ownership homes now available at Barking site – L&Q has released the final 51 one- and  two-bedroom Shared Ownership apartments at Weavers Quarter in Barking, east London. Prices are from £72,000 for a 30% share of a one-bedroom apartment (based on a full market value of £240,000), requiring a deposit of £7,200. These new homes are under half-a-mile from Barking station, where the C2C rail service reaches Fenchurch Street in 15 minutes, with two Tube lines also served here. Weavers Quarter is bringing 221 homes from a total of 1,575 homes being built in the neighbourhood along with two new schools, a new community centre, retail and office space and a public amenity square. New phase of homes comes to Mill Hill – Barratt London has just released the next phase of homes at its Ridgeway Views development in Mill Hill, north London.
