Posted 27 July 2016 by Keith Osborne

We pick some of the new homes available within or next to some of the UK's 15 National Parks, providing beautiful and adventurous landscapes for buyers...

This is National Parks Week, running from 25 to 31 July to celebrate the UK’s 15 National Parks and the sense of adventure they inspire in visitors and residents. As a place to live, they are perfect for those who enjoy making the most of our beautiful and often dramatic countryside and if you’re looking for a new build home, there’s no reason for you to miss out.

Our National Parks are dotted across the entire country, from the south-west corner and South Coast, through East Anglia, the Midlands, Wales and northern England and into Scotland.

In England, there are ten National Parks: The Norfolk Broads, Dartmoor, Exmoor, Lake District, New Forest, Northumberland, North York Moors, Peak District, Yorkshire Dales, and South Downs. In Wales, there are a further three: the Brecon Beacons, Pembrokeshire Coast, and Snowdonia. Scotland completes the picture with two such areas: The Cairngorms, and Loch Lomond and the Trossachs.

While the protection of these areas is one of the paramount responsibilities of the authorities looking after them, it is still possible for new homes hunters to find a brand new property within easy reach of the beauty and adventure our National Parks offer. Here’s a selection:
