We take a look at the homes for sale from Metis Homes, Gold winner of Best Small Housebuilder at WhatHouse? Awards 2017...

Metis Homes, a housebuilder based in Winchester that was founded in 2007, won Gold for Best Small Housebuilder at the WhatHouse? Awards 2017 last November and currently has a range of homes available that underline its qualities.

Having won Silver in the category in 2016, the step up to Gold realised the company’s ambition and reflected its approach to many aspects of its work – training staff to plan, build and work with customers at all stages of the buying and after-sales process to the highest standards, and constructing a wide range of designs in a variety of locations, engaging with local communities.

Building in prime locations across the south of England, in Hampshire, Surrey and Dorset, Metis Homes is offering an impressive mix of property types in some desirable locations. We take a look at what you can make your new home in 2018:

Old Station Park, Sutton Scotney, Hampshire

Old Station ParkLocated around seven miles north of Winchester, this development currently offers three-, four- and five-bedroom houses priced from £425,000, with a stylish block of one- and two-bedroom apartments already reserved or sold.

One of the homes for sale is the five-bedroom house on Plot 1, priced £780,000. Centred on a spacious kitchen/dining room with patio doors to the rear garden, it also has a separate utility room, living room and study. Upstairs, two of the bedrooms are en suite and four have built-in wardrobes. There’s also a family bathroom, and the home comes with an attached garage.

Set in countryside just a few miles from the western border of the South Downs, the village is under 15 minutes from the city centre and is also well connected by road, within easy reach of the A303 and M3.

Grovelands, Branksome Park, Dorset

GrovelandsThis is a collection of two- and three-bedroom apartments located in a property hotspot, a leafy suburb between Bournemouth and Poole.  Just three of the units have currently been released at this new development.

Plot 9 is a two-bedroom duplex on the second and third floor, and is priced at £575,000. From the hallway, with its cloakroom, storage and utility space, is en suite bedroom two and the large, open-plan kitchen/dining/living area, with an impressive, large bay window. Upstairs, the master bedroom has an en suite bathroom and glazed doors opening out onto a balcony.

Branksome Park is well located for shops, a local golf club, beaches and Poole Harbour, and there’s a station not far away on the London-Weymouth line.

Catherine’s Walk, Guildford, Surrey

Catherine's WalkWith three-quarters of its apartments and townhouses already sold, there is still a chance to purchase at this popular development in the south-western corner of the town, near Loseley Park.

There’s just one apartment on the market – priced at £695,000 – with a selection of three-bedroom houses beginning at £895,000. Entering Plot 8, on the market at £1.025m, turn right from the hallway into a living room with bay wondow, or left to an open-plan kitchen/family room with patio doors to the garden. The first floor has a bathroom and study as well as two double bedrooms, with bedroom two having an en suite and balcony. The top floor is reserved for a special master bedroom, with twin-basin en suite, dressing room, vaulted ceiling and its own balcony.

Guildford’s popularity reflects many factors – its own impressive shops, amenities and schools, proximity to the Surrey countryside and its transport connections, with frequent rail services and the A3 to its north.

Millers Brook, Petersfield, Hampshire

Millers BrookIn the heart of the South Downs, this development is actually located in Sheet, a village on the northern fringes of Petersfield and offers a choice of three- and four-bedroom houses. Half the properties on this small development have already been snapped up.

Prices start at £550,000 right now, but for £695,000, the four-bedroom detached Plot 2 house is yours. Entering the double-aspect home, there’s a utility room and cloakroom ahead, a living room to the right and the large kitchen/dining room to the left, with multiple access to the rear garden. Upstairs, along with the family bathroom, is the en suite master bedroom, two more double bedrooms and a single bedroom that could also function as a study, playroom or hobby room.

With a delightful church and village green a short stroll away, these homes are just a few minutes’ drive to Petersfield’s shops and station, with the A3 only a few minutes’ drive away.

Weston Grove, Grayshott, Hampshire

Weston GroveProximity to the A3 and a well-served station make the village perfect for commuters. Just north-west of Haslemere and next to the renowned scenery of Hindhead, Weston Grove is a collection of nine apartments, but most have been sold – the last one is still available though.

The two-bedroom/two-bathroom ground floor property has an open-plan double-aspect kitchen/living room, with a utility area off the hallway in which to fit a washing machine and to use as additional storage. Bedroom one has an en suite and there is also a separate bathroom. Both come with built-in wardrobes. The price is currently £385,000.
