Lady Victoria Grange by Miller Homes - Show Home Room by Room

Posted 8 November 2017 by Helen Christie

WhatHouse? takes a tour of this show home from Miller Homes to find out more about the inspiration behind the interiors...

Designed with glamour and elegance in mind, Miller Homes’ stunning Chichester show home at Lady Victoria Grange incorporates an industrial edge that has been created through dusky shades of grey.

The development, which is situated in the desirable location of Newtongrange is perfectly placed for commuting into Edinburgh and the modern show home has a unique style that is fresh and inviting.

The five-bedroom show home has a chic look that has been achieved through the use of luxe cream furnishings and exquisite lighting. It has a grown-up colour palette of cream, grey and powdery tones of blue and pink, that is warmed by comforting textiles and natural woods throughout the home.

Kitchen: The open-plan kitchen and breakfast room is the social hub of the ground floor. Bright colours pop out from the backdrop of a grey sofa and it’s the ideal place for relaxing with the whole family. The living area is welcoming with an floral feature wall and light from double French doors reflects off the stone worktops and flooring, making the space bright and airy. The room features a contemporary breakfast bar with sophisticated stools and globe light features.

Staircase: A stunning staircase is the central point of the ground floor, with dark gloss floor tiles that compliment the room by reflecting the light and a floral wallpaper softens the overall look.

Lounge: Also on the ground floor, the lounge features an elegant bay window and has a dark, textured feature wall, which is paired with light furnishings and accessorised with industrial metallics.

Dining room: The adjoining dining room is the perfect place for entertaining dinner guests, with French doors opening into the garden. The subtle geometric wallpaper, touches of gold and low hanging chandeliers create a luxurious feel.

Study: The ground floor is completed with a study at the front of the home, which comes with a feature bay window. It’s the perfect place to relax, with brick effeck wallpaper and a faux fur rug bringing warmth to the room and patterned accessories creating a tranquil space. The room is flexible to a family’s needs and can be used as a home office or a playroom.

Master bedroom: Upstairs in the Chichester, the open gallery landing leads the way to all five bedrooms and a modern family bathroom. The luxurious master bedroom features metallic tones, which bring elegance and charm to the grey colour scheme. The floor to ceiling velvet curtains and cushioned headboard add intensity to the striking palette, which is finished with subtle gold accessories. The room comes complete with a separate dressing area that leads into an ensuite, with a double walk-in shower.

Additional bedrooms: The remaining four bedrooms, two of which have en suite bathrooms, have a light and fresh feel, designed with a colour pallete that combines pastel accents, metallics, creams and soft greys. Each bedroom is given a wow factor with a striking feature wall and abstract lighting, which creates a decadent escape from everyday life.

Prices for the Chichester start at £409,995.
