Set in a 45-acre private estate in Cobham in Surrey, Knowle Hill Park from Millgate Homes won Silver at the 2017 WhatHouse? Awards for Best Interior Design.

The private estate consists of two- and three-bedroom apartments, surrounded by private woods and parkland, accessed via a private, gated driveway.

Alexander James Interior Design were the designers for the show home, and we have gone through the show home, room by room to find out more about the award-winning interiors…

Living room/kitchen area: Stylishly elegant, we designed this stunning living room interior using plush fabrics in teal and grey tones for a warm, luxurious feel. The added details of delicate lighting and beautiful floral arrangements make for an opulent interior.

Dining area: The dining area of this award-winning show apartment has been designed using a bespoke dining furniture set with sumptuous fabrics and gold studded detailing for added luxury. The light neutral fabrics contrast perfectly with the rich organic tones of the table and flooring. Hanging above are a duo of bespoke chandeliers adding elegance and grandeur.

Kitchen area: This traditional kitchen area is enhanced with a beautiful trio of pendant lighting, and breakfast bar stools in a luxuriously light textured fabric with contrasting legs. Green plants add a refreshing contemporary touch to the design.

Study area: This study area uses a quadrant of abstract artwork in rich monochrome and teal tones above a rich mahogany oak desk.  Abstract wallpaper adds further depth to the design, highlighted by a luxurious table lamp. A desk chair in neutral fabric adds a sense of luxurious comfort to this desk area.

Master bedroom: Our master bedroom design is lavish in design, with a bespoke padded headboard in deluxe fabric and mirrors at each bedside, providing both depth and elegance. A chaise in bespoke fabric sits beautifully at the end of the impressive bed, which is dressed using luxurious fabrics in soft pink and white tones. This is the perfect calming interior in which to relax and unwind.

Bedroom: This bedroom design is warm and inviting, using deep blue tones throughout the wallpaper, soft furnishings and luxurious fabrics. A plush velvet headboard adds opulence and glamour, while the organic oak sideboards add a sophisticated richness to the interior.

Lounge area: We incorporated warm copper tones into this lounge interior, warming the cooler tones of the light grey and teal fabrics. A luxurious rich oak cabinet and bookcase add a richness to the design, contrasting beautifully with the soft velvety fabrics used throughout the soft furnishings in the lounge seating.

Prices start from £1,695,000.
