Move In By Christmas With Home Reach In The Home Counties

Keith OsborneFor house-hunters across the Home Counties searching for a first home to move into by this Christmas, there are a few opportunities to do so at developments in the region which are for sale through the Home Reach scheme.
Home Reach is a partnership between housing provider heylo and a number of housebuilders across England which gives buyers who meet the eligibility criteria the opportunity to ‘part buy-part rent’ a brand new home. You can purchase a share of a new build home (usually starting at 50%) and pay a subsidised rent on the remainder, with heylo as the landlord. The scheme is offered on selected plots at a development and provides all the benefits of homeownership but requires a much smaller deposit (5% of the share price) and a smaller mortgage than when purchasing outright. Over time, owners can buy further shares as their budget allows, until they own 100%.
Here are some examples of properties in the Home Counties which are ready to move into by Christmas through Home Reach.
Heron House is only a mile from the centre of the charming and historic Surrey town of Godalming, in a quiet area close to the River Wey. It is a collection of 45 luxury apartments with one, two or three bedrooms. A one-bedroom example has an open-plan kitchen/dining/living room, private balcony, double bedroom and bathroom. It comes with underfloor heating, bicycle storage and allocated parking. A 50% share is priced £160,000 (full market value from £320,000), which requires a minimum 5% deposit from £8,000. Campbell Wharf is a landmark development taking shape on the banks of the Grand Union Canal, bringing a brand new marina as well as new amenities and facilities. Campbell Park is just around the corner, it’s only a mile from the town centre and two miles from the station. The M1 is a five-minute drive away. A one-bedroom apartment for sale here is notable for two storage cupboards off the hallway, fitted wardrobes to the double bedroom and a private balcony off the open-plan kitchen/dining/living room. A 50% share of this home is priced from £115,000 (full market value £230,000) and requires a minimum of 5% deposit from £5,750.
The Old Works is in High Wycombe is a development of 228 apartments about ten minutes’ walk from the town centre which offers a great range of shops, amenities, places to eat and drink and leisure options from gyms to theatres. Regular trains from the station, about one mile away, bring places like London, Oxford and Birmingham within easy reach. It has a living dining room, separate fitted kitchen space, downstairs cloakroom, two double bedrooms . A 50% share is priced from £177,500 (based on a full market value from £355,000), which requires a minimum of 5% deposit from £8,875.
