Home of the Day – The ‘Drayton’, Shropshire Homes

Posted 25 November 2021 by Keith Osborne

The ‘Drayton’ at Shropshire Homes’ Ivetsey Fields in Wheaton Aston is our favourite house type right now…

The WhatHouse? team is always on the lookout for an impressive home and the ‘Drayton’ is a detached house type for sale at Ivetsey Fields, which is a current development from Shropshire Homes, which builds across the West Midlands region.

The ‘Drayton’ is a three-bedroom semi-detached house. Off its hallway to one side is the kitchen/dining room with French doors to the garden, and on the other side a double-aspect living room. A cloakroom and useful storage cupboard complete the ground floor. Two of the bedrooms are doubles (with an en suite to bedroom one) and the other single, also a perfect size for a home office or hobby room. There’s also a family bathroom. The specification includes gas central heating, quartz or laminate kitchen worktops, high-quality integrated appliances, and sliding-door wardrobes to some rooms. There are electric car charging points and the homes are fibre-ready. There are two ‘Drayton’ house types for sale right now: Plot 11 is priced at £279,950 and Plot 14 is on the market for £282,950.

Ivetsey Fields is a collection of different house types, from two-bedroom bungalows to spacious four-bedroom family homes, each with a garden and parking spaces. Many homes also have garages.

Wheaton Aston is a quintessential English village located by the Shropshire Union Canal, just within the Staffordshire border. It’s around nine miles south-west of Stafford and seven miles west of Cannock.

The village is a popular area for families and has a primary school rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted in addition to a number of amenities such as a post office, paper shop and general store. There re also two pubs and a café to relax in. It’s around a 20-minute drive to the major shopping centres of Telford and Wolverhampton. A number of major roads in the area are convenient for longer-distance journeys.

Prices for the available two-, three- and four-bedroom houses available start at £229,950, rising to £405,000. Find out more about Ivetsey Fields from Shropshire Homes.
