The WhatHouse? team is impressed by ‘The Healey’, one of the house types currently for sale at Poet’s Rest, a development from Owl Homes located just a few miles from Tamworth.

Hubby and I also get a bathroom each, which is fabulous!

“Stand-out features are the en suite, stair bannisters, kitchen/diner, the window and shape of hall, making it lovely and light and the under-the-stairs cupboard very useful. We love the quality of the bathroom fittings, door handles and kitchen in particular.

“The house is very comfortable and layout works really well. We’ve been very impressed by the quality of the build and fittings inside and how well we have been looked after by the site manager and the whole team at Owl.”

Poet's Rest is a collection of two-, three- and four-bedroom homes in Polesworth, around six miles east Tamworth. The village itself offers a selection of shops, cafés and pubs as well as a sports centre. Here you will also find plenty of other amenities which add to the convenience of the location, such as a doctor’s surgery, a fish and chip shop, the Abbey Church of St Editha and several schools.

Tamworth is a busy and historic market town offering a wide array of shopping and dining options. It also offers plenty to do for the whole family, with things such as a large multi-screen cinema and The Snowdome, Europe’s first real snow skiing centre which also has a fitness centre, swimming pool and ice rink.

There’s more to do in the area as a whole, such as the well-served Ventura Retail Park, Twycross Zoo, Drayton Manor Theme Park and Pooley Country Park. Kingsbury and Atherstone Leisure Centres and The Belfry Golf Club and Spa are all less than half-an-hour away.

Poet's Rest is close to several reputable schools. These include Birchwood Primary School and The Polesworth School, both of which are just 0.9 miles away and boast ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted ratings, while Dordon Primary School is just one mile away and has a ‘Good’ rating.

Poet's Rest is very well-connected and benefits from some great transport links. Polesworth railway station offers trains to London and Birmingham via Tamworth, and from Atherstone station you can catch connections to London and Crewe. The M42 is less than half-an-hour away offering easy access to Leicester, Nottingham and Birmingham.
