The WhatHouse? team reports on our current favourite new build home for sale – today, it’s the three-bedroom ‘Elmham’ house type at Blyth Vale, the development from award-winning Hopkins Homes in Halesworth, a small market town in Suffolk.

The ‘Elmham’ is a double-fronted house in a stylish, tradition-inspired design, including a grand entrance. Off one side of the hallway is the lounge, with feature fireplace, on the other, the kitchen/dining area with double doors to the garden. There’s also a useful utility area with its own door out, and handy under-stair cupboard. Next to the stairs is the WC, while from the landing are the family bathroom, a single bedroom/home office and two double bedrooms, both with fitted wardrobes and the bonus of an en suite shower room to the master. This home is on the market for £330,000.

Halesworth is in the north-eastern corner of Suffolk, with a popular market and numerous independent shops. It’s just nine miles west from the much-loved coastal resort of Southwold and the Suffolk Coast & Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
