Home Of The Day – The ‘Hambleton Stone’, Fairgrove

The WhatHouse? team sees all sorts of new build property types but our attention has been grabbed by the range of them for sale at housebuilder Fairgrove’s Swanwick Fields development, and one house type in particular, called the ‘Hambleton Stone’.

Plot 17 is an example of this five-bedroom home and it is priced at £520,000. With its three-storey layout, it offers lots of space some – 2,240 sq ft – and flexibility in setting out the home just as you want it. Located at the end of a cul de sac and overlooking open green space at the rear, it is also a peaceful and private place to make home, and the stone construction adds real character and reflects the regional vernacular. It comes with a detached double garage.

Through the entrance door to this double-fronted house and there’s a bay-windowed room either side of the hallway, one of which is a comfortable study and the other a living room with feature fireplace. It is under two miles from more of them at the historic mining town of Alfreton.

Swanwick is within minutes of the A38 and M1 junction 28 and it’s an easy journey to some of the region’s major towns and cities, being little more than 20-minutes’ drive from Mansfield, Chesterfield and Derby, and around half-an-hour to Nottingham.
