The WhatHouse? team's current favourite new home for sale is the ‘Hadley’ at Lightfoot Meadows in Fulwood, Lancashire...

The WhatHouse? team reports on our current favourite new home for sale right now – today, we pick the ‘Hadley’ house type at Lightfoot Meadows, the David Wilson Homes development in Fulwood, a town in the north of Preston.

Our particular choice of this double-fronted, three-bedroom, detached house type is on Plot 198. Priced at £249,995, it comes with £5,000 of upgrades included, for upgraded kitchen, flooring and blinds, and is ready to move into this Spring. On the ground floor, on one side of the hallway is the double-aspect lounge, on the other the open-plan kitchen/dining/family room, which has French doors out to the southwest-facing garden. It comes with a utility room to help de-clutter the main living area. There’s also a cloakroom next to the stairs. Off the first-floor landing is a handy storage area, the family bathroom, a single bedroom and two double bedrooms, with an en suite to the master. This home comes with a double parking space.

Over half the homes at Lightfoot Meadows have been sold, but there is still a good choice of two-, three- and four-bedroom properties available, priced from £148,000 to £314,995. On selected plots (and subject to terms and conditions), anyone reserving before Sunday 1 March will qualify for a special offer where the housebuilder will double their deposit payment, equating to a saving of thousands of pounds. These homes are under five miles from Preston city centre and under two miles from both the M6 and M55 motorways.

The ‘Hadley’ house type is also available right now at other David Wilson Homes developments:

Great Oldbury in Stonehouse, Goucestershire, with three- and four-bedroom homes from £276,000 to £450,000

Quarter Jack Park in Wimborne, Dorset, where three- and four-bedroom homes are priced between £380,000 and £600,000.

Fernwood Village in Newark, Nottinghamshire, with three-, four- and five-bedroom homes from £219,995 to £364,995
