Home Of The Day – ‘Deveron2’, Allanwater Homes

Posted 24 November 2023 by Keith Osborne

Our pick of brand new homes today is the ‘The Deveron2’, a house type at Allanwater Homes’ development in Cambusbarron…

The WhatHouse? team has found a current favourite new home for sale and it’s called the ‘Deveron2’, a townhouse type from Allanwater Homes at its development in Cambusbarron, on the outskirts of Stirling.

The ‘Deveron2’ on Plot 34 has recently been reduced in price from £324,995 to £299,995. It’s a three-bedroom, three-storey terraced home in a contemporary style which uses lots of glazing to produce a home that has lots of natural light throughout the day. The hub of the home is an open-plan kitchen/dining/family room at the rear, with attractive fitted units, high-quality integrated appliances and a breakfast bar. There’s also a door to the rear garden. The ground floor is completed by a cloakroom, a utility room and generous storage under the stairs and off the hallway. There’s a living room on the first floor along with a comfortable double bedroom which comes with Juliet balcony, en suite and substantial fitted wardrobes. On the top floor is the bathroom and two more comfortable double bedrooms with fitted wardrobes, and the bonus of en suite to one of them.

In addition to the considerable built-in storage, the standard specification of homes has also led to this development nearing sell-out. These centrally heated, energy-efficient properties (EPC ‘B’ rating) come with solar panels and the kitchens are fitted with quality appliances from the likes of Zanussi and Electrolux, while bathrooms an en suites have fixtures from Bristan and Twyford. The turfed garden comes with fences for privacy, and the property comes with a ten-year warranty.

On the western edge of Stirling, little more than a mile-and-a-half from the city centre, Cambusbarron is an area with an ancient history and many scenic areas in its surroundings. It became famous when a large wool spinning mill during the Industrial Revolution – a major local employer – and these days appeals due to its combination of attractive settings and proximity to many shops and useful amenities. The M9 and M80 within an easy drive, plus frequent railway services to other major cities in Scotland, make this place a serious consideration for commuting buyers.
