The WhatHouse? team reports on our current favourite home for sale – today, we pick Plot 3 at Marchington Fields, a four-bedroom detached house at the Chevin Homes development in Uttoxeter, Staffordshire.

Marchington Fields is an exclusive little cul-de-sac which overlooks fields and comprises just five homes: two semi-detached bungalows and three detached houses of different house types. Plot 3 is a double-fronted, render-finished house which comes with a double garage and spacious driveway to accommodate several vehicles. Off the welcoming hallway to one side is a lounge/sitting room and on the other side a double-aspect study/fifth bedroom. There’s also a WC and under-stair storage cupboard before reaching the very spacious kitchen/dining/family room at the back. There’s a lot of natural light here, with two sets of bi-fold doors that can really come into their own by ‘bringing the outdoors in’ on a warm, sunny day. Off this is a utility room with sink, storage and its own door, which makes it perfect for bringing in a very wet hound.

Marchington is a popular, traditional village with a church, school and village shop and inn and is situated between the busy market towns of Uttoxeter and Burton upon Trent. It is also handily located between the A50 and M6 which provides swift onwards travel to other nearby regional centres. Derby, Stoke-on-Trent, Birmingham Nottingham and Leicester, are all within a 30-minute to an hours’ drive.
