Home of the Day – ‘The Whittlebury’, Charles Church Homes

Posted 6 July 2020 by Keith Osborne

Our favourite new home for sale is ‘The Whittlebury’, available at The Farriers in Towcester from Charles Church…

The WhatHouse? team focuses on our current favourite new build home for sale – today, it’s ‘The Whittlebury’, a four-bedroom house type at The Farriers, a development in Towcester, Northamptonshire from Charles Church.

Plot 390 is a fine example of this double-fronted, detached property type. Off the hallway to one side is the double-aspect living room with a feature bay window and French doors to the rear garden. To the other side is a dedicated dining room, also with a bay window, and there a doorway to the large kitchen at the back, which has a generous amount of storage and worktop, including an island unit. There’s another set of French doors to the garden here, and a handy utility room with its own outside door. The kitchen also has its own door back to the hallway, where there’s a WC and under-stair storage.

The Whittlebury floorplanUpstairs is the family bathroom, with bath and separate shower, and four bedrooms. The master bedroom has a walk-through area with two storage cupboards to the en suite shower room; bedrooms 2 and 3 are both doubles, one having its own en suite shower room; and bedroom 4 is a single room which many house-hunters these days may envisage as a perfect home office. This house is priced at £539,995 and is also currently available at The Farriers on Plot 372 and Plot 380 both priced at £549,995. Buyers are welcome to ask about using Help to Buy, Part Exchange and the housebuilder’s own Home Change initiatives.

The Farriers is a collection of three-, four- and five-bedroom houses right on the southern fringe of Towcester, surrounded by countryside bit only a mile from the town centre, of the A5, a direct route to many towns such as Milton Keynes, Dunstable and Rugby. This site will also be providing retail units, a public house/restaurant, a doctors’ surgery, nursery/crèche and community hall, two new primary schools and a hotel and conference centre. The development will also benefit from areas of public open space, sports pitches and new allotments. In all, a real new community.
