The WhatHouse? team's current favourite new home for sale is the ‘Radleigh’ at St Oswald’s View in Methley, West Yorkshire from Barratt Homes...

The WhatHouse? team reports on our current favourite new home for sale right now – today, we pick the ‘Radleigh’ house type at St Oswald’s View, a Barratt Homes development in Preston, Lancashire.

This is a double-fronted, four-bedroom, detached house type. Plot 155 would be ideal for someone hoping to move home quickly, as it is ready to move into, and its price dropped by £25,000 to £399,995. In addition to free flooring and an upgraded kitchen, it also comes with an offer for the housebuilder to pay £10,000 towards the deposit, and to cover Stamp Duty, worth another £9,999. On the ground floor is a study, a lounge and, at the rear, an open-plan kitchen/dining/family room which spans the width of the home, has French doors to the rear garden and also comes with a useful utility room. Each of the bedrooms upstairs in a generous double, with the master having a private en suite shower room, and there’s also a family bathroom. This home comes with a single garage and driveway.

St Oswald’s View has three- and four-bedroom homes priced from £224,995 to £404,995, each available to purchase through the Help to Buy equity loan scheme. Anyone selling a home in order to move up the property ladder can ask about the Part Exchange initiative. It’s easy to get to towns and cities such as Leeds, Castleford and Wakefield, and further afield via major roads including the M1, A1(M) and M62.

The ‘Radleigh’ house type is one of the show homes at nearby St Andrew’s Place and is also available right now at a number of Barratt Homes developments in Yorkshire, including:
