Posted 25 February 2020 by Keith Osborne

The WhatHouse? team's current favourite new home for sale is the ‘Lincoln’ at Highfields in Derbyshire from Barratt Homes...

The WhatHouse? team reports on our current favourite new home for sale right now – today, we pick the three-bedroom ‘Lincoln’ house type at Highfields, a Barratt Homes development in Littleover, a village and suburb of Derby.

Plot 138, is one of two of this house type currently for sale here. In through the front door and to one side of the hallway is the triple-aspect lounge, which has French doors tio the rear garden. This home also comes with a separate double-aspect dining room. Past the stairs and the WC under them, and at the rear of the home is the open-plan kitchen/family room, another triple-aspect room with lots of worktop and storage space, and its own set of French doors to the garden. Off the first-floor landing are the family bathroom, the spacious en suite master bedroom, two other double bedrooms and a single, which could function as a home office. It has a single garage plus driveway parking for two cars.

This plot has recently had its price dropped from £337,995 to £329,995. This detached home is positioned on a corner and comes with a host of extras and special offers, subject to terms and conditions: an upgraded kitchen with integrated appliances worth £3,800; an upgraded bathroom worth £950 flooring throughout worth £4,000; a blinds/curtains and lighting package; Stamp Duty paid worth £6,499; and £3,000 to help you move, or Part Exchange.

Right now, Highfields has a range of four-bedroom houses for sale, priced from £269,995 to £384,995, with Help to Buy and Part Exchange available. Littleover is just south-west of Derby and has its own range of shops and amenities, as well as some highly-respected state and independent schools nearby. It’s a short drive into Derby city centre and its station, and the A38 and A50 are within easy reach of home here.
