Posted 28 January 2020 by Keith Osborne

The WhatHouse? team's current favourite new home for sale is the ‘Kingsville’ at Sandridge Place in Melksham, Wiltshire from Barratt Homes...

The WhatHouse? team reports on our current favourite new home for sale right now – today, we pick the ‘Kingsville’ house type at Sandridge Place, a Barratt Homes development in the market town of Melksham, Wiltshire.

Plot 51 is the last of this three-floor, four-bedroom, semi-detached house. It’s currently on the market for £291,995. Right now, there’s an offer for reservations before Sunday 29 March 2020 to provide £4,050-worth of kitchen upgrades, and to pay £10,000 towards a deposit. Off the hallway to one side is a useful storage cupboard and the cloakroom, facing a home office/fourth bedroom. It’s past the stairs to the open-plan kitchen/dining/family room, with French doors to the rear garden. There are two rooms on the first floor: at the front of the house, a good-sized lounge and at the rear the master bedroom with en suite shower room. On the top floor is a family bathroom and two bedrooms, one a double, the other a single, both with their own storage cupboard. It comes with a garage and two parking spaces.

Sandridge Place has a mix of three- and four-bedroom house types available, with prices ranging from £259,995 to £369,995. It’s a development within walking distance is Melksham town centre where you will find shops, a post office, banks and a choice of places to eat and drink. The town holds its market every Tuesday, and families will welcome the range of good schools within easy reach. The town’s railway station is around two miles away. Within an hour’s drive are towns and cities such as Bristol, Bath, Swindon, Stroud and Salisbury.

The ‘Kingsville’ house type is one of the show homes at Ladden Garden Village (17 miles from Sandridge Place) and is also available right now at a number of Barratt Homes developments in this and other regions, including:

Mill Brook in Westbury, Wiltshire, where Plot 98 is priced £274,995.
