Home of the Day – The ‘Kingsley’, Barratt Homes

Posted 4 February 2020 by Keith Osborne

The WhatHouse? team's current favourite new home for sale is the ‘Kingsley’ at Needham’s Grange near Crewe, Cheshire from Barratt Homes...

The WhatHouse? team reports on our current favourite new home for sale right now – today, we pick the ‘Kingsley’ house type at Needham’s Grange, a Barratt Homes development in the village of Shavington, just south of Crewe in Cheshire.

Plot 20, priced £259,995, is a great example of this four-bedroom detached home which comes with a single garage and two parking spaces. Downstairs is a cloakroom, lounge and the open-plan kitchen/dining room, which has French doors to the rear garden. There’s a storage cupboard as well as a separate useful utility cupboard in which to put the washing machine and tumble dryer. Upstairs are two double bedrooms (with an en suite shower room to the master), two single rooms that could also be used for a home office or playroom, and the family bathroom.

Needham’s Grange is a development of three- and four-bedroom houses in a village location with a good selection of local shop and amenities, yet only a ten-minute drive from Crewe and Nantwich, and half-an-hour from Newcastle-under-Lyme and Stoke-on-Trent. Prices currently range from £193,995 to £289,995, with Help to Buy and the housebuilder’s own Movemaker initiative available. There’s a ‘Kingsley’ house type fully decorated as a show home at Deer’s Chase in Hednesford, near Cannock.

The popular ‘Kingsley’ is also available right now at a number of Barratt Homes developments in this and other regions, including:

Sundial Place in Thornton, Merseyside, where Plot 5 is priced £299,995.

Henbrook Gardens in Bromsgrove, Worcestershire, where Plot 163 is priced £329,995.

Hawk Rise in Ledbury, Herefordshire, where Plot 95 is priced £299,995.

Bird’s Marsh View in Chippenham, Wiltshire, where Plot 92 is priced £344,995.
