The WhatHouse? team reports on our current favourite new build home for sale – the last one for 2020, it’s a four-bedroom detached house type at The Heathers, a Barrat Homes development in Dunfermine, Fife.

Plot 195 is available for £236,995. Off the hallway at the front of the house is a lounge, through which is the kitchen/dining room at the rear, which has a glazed door to the rear garden. Off this room is a utility room with its own door to the garden – very handy for keeping muddy paws off the kitchen floor – and there’s a WC and some under-stair storage.
