Home of the Day – ‘The Poplar’, Archway Homes
The WhatHouse? team reports on our current favourite home for sale – today, we pick ‘The Poplar’, a four-bedroom house type at Lime Tree Grange, an exclusive Archway Homes development of just seven executive properties in Cheshire Oaks, just north of Chester.
One of the first homes released for sale here, the detached house with integral single garage on Plot 2 is priced at £339,995. It has a traditional exterior design in things like a porch arch, curved window lintels, a bay window and garage doors in a style reminiscent of those in the 1920s and 30s – very much in line with the period feel of the overall design.

Cheshire Oaks is five miles north of Chester (a 15-minute drive) and around 35 minutes from Liverpool city centre. The proximity of the A41, M53 and M56, as well as Ellesmere Port station, make it well connected, but on the doorstep is a designer outlet, shopping park and leisure park. The area has plenty of shops, places to eat and other leisure facilities such as Chester Zoo and the Blue Planet Aquarium.
